-Enhanced Navball

Can't play without them. I need KER to design rockets and for the handy display of stage time and other data like time to apoapsis that you only find in map view. I need Enhanced Navball to actually read the Navball, otherwise I can't tell what's on it.

I install mods, but hardly use them, but sometimes I do. I would use these three.

-KAS (Really useful, base functionality!)

-MJ (I use it for things that I CAN do but I'm just too lazy to do. Mostly. )

-B9 (It's just so awesome....)

There are at least seven ABSOLUTELY ESSENTIAL mods:

Editor Extensions - absolute ass-savior when designing

Root Part Selector - absolute ass-savior when designing

RCS Balancer - not as absolute as abovementioned but still ass-saver when designing something asymmetrical

FAR + DRE - somewhat realistic aerodynamics (stock is terrible)

Procedural Fairings - you NEED fairings when you have realistic aerodynamics - get either those or hard-fixed ones from any big part pack

MechJeb - flight telemetry, dV calculation, autopilot (or KER for dedicated luddites)

And with just those seven you'll still miss a lot.

Highly recommended mods:

RT2 + AIES (for antennas)

RealChute

ScanSat

TAC LS

So that's 15 mods at least for comfortable play.

but if i were to cheat, i'd swap my master-mod for proc parts (which is basicly just hacked versions of about 15 diff parts mods down into 1 mod with just the stuff i use from them)

I agree except I've recently switched to Precise Maneuver instead. Very similar, but a few additional features.

I would love to switch as well, as features like plan circularize in one click is very nice to have,  but it has no +orbit - orbit buttons, not very convenient to plan rendezvous...
