No... Don't degrade Pingu. Pingu is a beloved character a lot of kids grew up with before the era of moronic cartoon hyperproduction. There are so many cartoons today, so there isn't a real global appreciation for them anymore.

yeah, i'm not a brony at all. Pingu is completely different. The only other group that really associates it is the Frozen fans.

What's up with this Frozen hype? Is it one of those freak accidents of the insane web posse that sometimes coughs out something "popular"? Mind that I'm not the only one wondering about this. Every now and then something mediocre comes along and just sometimes the web grabs it and shoves it down everyone's throat.

I did not see the movie, but gathering from the covers on youtube of its signature song, it felt like the main theme of revealing a hidden trait and accepting it by oneself struck a nerve in the public.
