Can't target asteroids?

Recommended Posts

Hey, guys

I just unlocked the giant claw, so I decided it'd be fun to test it out by capturing an asteroid or two, but I can't target them? Grabbing them without being able to target seems excessively hard. Is there a way to target, or if not, a trick to intercepting them without being able to target?

It changes them from unknown objects to named asteroids. It tells you what class asteroid they are (a very rough estimate of mass), and allows you to target them in flight. It also keeps them from despawning.

Ohhh, okay. That makes sense. Alright. Thanks for the replies, guys! I'll track them in the tracking station so that I can unleash the wrath of the claw upon them.

You need to select them in the Tracking Station and click "Track Object", the button with the satellite dish on it. Then they will switch from "Unknown Object" to "Space Object" or something like that. Then you can target them!

EDIT: Now I know why people keep saying "ninja'd"
