Science over time, Reputation decaying over time

You could easily abuse that system by fast forwarding. Even when playing serious, the difference in earnings between a mun, jool and duna-mission would be hard to balance.

Although the earnings generated from a specific object could be limited. Meaning e.g. the science lab (maybe choosing a specific research at start) would unlock 200 tech ressource, a research or a locked part over the next year. Maybe even asking for special parts over time (pls bring some stack seperators (or the researched part?) to our station to continue research). That would be quite cool. You could make whole stations with used up science modules.

Again, hard to balance. How do you stop people from sendig up 20 science labs? Ofc you could limit parallel research to a single lab and bringing requested ressources/parts into space would limit it a bit...

The point of decaying reputation is that you can't just fast forward without a penalty, negating any exploit. And balancing would not be that hard, diminished returns from several research stations near a given celestial object would fix that.

There is also a difference in scientific gain. Perhaps, letting time also dictate info. It does not increase the amount of science, while certain time frames can yield info. Like instant, will let you know how it reacts quickly in an environment. One day can be used to show effects of 24hrs, than the next mile stone would be a week, than months, etc. But they can only be done once, and it has to be spread out. Maybe that could be implemented with the reputation?
