Free camera by default

Every time I launch a craft, the camera it set on Auto. Is there a way to have it default to Free at all times (unless changed directly during flight of course).

I added the [unanswered] at the top. I've tried to find something in the config file, but couldn't. If the option is there, it's probably too obvious for me to find. :-(

I've wanted this for some time now. The best I've been able to do is add "set camera to free" to my pre-launch checklist, also making sure to set it when switching to active flights.

If it's not possible then perhaps there's a mod to save the camera settings (and a few others)? If not maybe I'll write one...

I have a plugin where removing auto-camera is possible. Check my signature!

(Improved chase cam. You'll want to set the config for disabling auto camera mode, and disable the free chase cam by default, or else it will follow your prograde vector by default.)

Aargh, I was tossing together a little thing to do this. Oh well, good practice.
