Actually in some situations that is practical.

Stick the fire warriors up front, rapid fire rounds, allow a charge, fire warriors will (hopefully) flee after minimal casualties, use bonding knife to regroup them, charge with the kroot to mop-up.

You must remember, Kroot have NO armor save without a Kroot Shaper.

None whatsoever.

When I get kroots, I will use them as MEAT-SHIELDS!

The eldar craftorld of Alaitoc will shoot them, while the fire warriors can shoot the Eldar with stronger weapons.

Also, guess my enemy craftworld.

No, its not Alaitoc.

That\'s exactly how you lose. Think about it, 10 marines vs 20 kroot. Rapid-fire, ~16 hit, ~12 kroot go down, kroot flee.

Yeah, there\'s an ork jet and necron doom styche out as well.

And I think I might change armies again. To Dark Angels.

An ork Bommer, to be precise.

You can construct it as a Dakkajet, Blitza-bommer or a Burna-bommer.

Personally i\'d like the Stormtalon gunship.

The best way to consider 40K is to imagine it as the biggest and most complex game of Scissors, Rock, Paper that the world has ever seen. Each unit can defeat another unit on the board.

It is possible to design a list so that it will utterly crush another list, of course. However, it\'s a good idea to assume you\'ll not know what your opponent will field, which means a balanced list is a much better idea. And in those circumstances (more or less enforced by playing in a tournament, by the way - since you never know what you\'re going to be up against, so a one-trick pony is a bad idea), either player should have a fairly good chance if they know what they\'re doing.

And that\'s what makes the game fun!
