I used a Hastati fighter to knock off one of the Mace's engines (I think?) Other than that no damage was done.

How does cupcake make these missiles work so well?

I retreated the fighter to high orbit now that its out of ammo.

Fast approach, almost collided on the flyby attack.

I'd recommend using i-beams instead of disk rockets.

again, all you're doing is knocking off the missiles, which are designed to reconnect...

By spamming them so quickly that the target doesn't have time to recover.

I managed to destroy enough of a Drek's interior that even though it was still alive, and could still fire it's missiles, aiming it was completely impossible, this ship was unmovable because all but the outermost left engine was destroyed.

The problem? I used the entire armament on my ship.

I beams are really heavy though. In a fighter this small they take off a huge chunk of dV

They used to be able to. They don't anymore but I made an upgrade and came up with a new missile based on the High Acceleration.

Sorry about the wait, I had to have the ships converted properly.

One Longsword mk2 (Recognize anything?) in the far reaches of Vall, just outside the range of the small fighters.

And four Broadsword MK8s in a more reasonable orbit as parking altitude was taken.

Zekes its impossible to make a ship invincible so stop rising to the bait!

Spartwo that's a win for you. I've got no more functioning ships there. The last fighter may be able to fire some shots but its unbalanced so can't aim.
