Battle update!!!

The ANV Union intercepted the HMS Rhineland and fired two "Drek breakers" which had little effect on the mini nuisances. The second shot damaged the barrel and knocked the weapons out.

I need to build battle cruisers, Victory is like a 1st rate ship of the line, absolutely greta at defending kerbin from attack but rubbish when it's around other planets. As a result, I have brought back the old Temeraire class (it was the ship that had 'Guess who's back?' In the post) and I am planning a new ship, the 'Royal Sovereign' class (notice how all of my ship classes are named after British ships at Trafalgar), it should be a halfway point between the Temeraire class Frigate and the Victory class dreadnought.

Watch out, I am building a fleet and I already have a capital ship, the Falcon-class. Though, this ship does have some weak-spots (that I won't tell where) and plus it is 230 tons and 900 parts with only 3 anti-ship missiles and 14 I-beam missiles, so it is pretty useless. But, at least it looks cool.

Watch out, I am building a fleet and I already have a capital ship, the Falcon-class. Though, this ship does have some weak-spots (that I won't tell where) and plus it is 230 tons and 900 parts with only 3 anti-ship missiles and 14 I-beam missiles, so it is pretty useless. But, at least it looks cool.

it looks awesome! but very fragile...if you hit 1 of the outside engine modules it will be out of service also some ships are resistant to I-beam weapons especially the large capital ships. you might want to get more anti ship missiles there.

also zekes i destroyed you crafts after taking the persistent file (the missiles i didnt bother to throw a ship there with all the lag)

It is not as fragile as it looks, as the wing surfaces are covering up more plate armor, but I probably should add more armor the the engines.

you should probably tuck them in or dispose of them because if i can destroy a Drek with one missile i can sure knock off an engine module i just need to hit at the roughly the right place and because its bit i got a lot of room to hit it especially sideways the way most battles are conducted

She lost some fuel, her main missiles, and some secondary missiles and armor. She was also in a death fall.

Meanwhile her sister Deutschland went to attack ANV Sunlight

One missile detached the missiles and base part from her; she ran out of battery quickly. Rules state she was "dead" so Deutschland went in to steal the missiles.

fixing that now.

EDIT: so i reloaded, shot a .5 missile at it, which tore it off... so now i'm one missile and one i-beam less :(

I've conducted some tests and I can conclusively say that lag greatly improves the offensive power of missiles. My testing was done both with phys-warp induced lag and high part count lag, which brings me to another point: We should outlaw the use of phys-warp when shooting missiles, since it gives an unfair advantage to those that use it (despite making it sort-of harder to aim).

This was done with a good deal of partcount lag, about 1500 parts in range, but no physwarp. I can reliably kill (I mean really kill, not just knock the missiles off) Dreks with one shot using either my missiles or their own if I phys-warp to x4 right before impact. Sometimes the missile just phases right through with high warps though.

I also now have a battleship that can potentially go up against all of your new ships. It's 102 tons and armed with 4 guided missiles, since those seem to be all the rage these days.

Wow, i never thought of warping while firing missiles. Genius. Then again, it means we should ban that XD but it would be a hard rule to enforce... i need to go test this for myself.
