Oh those long launches or a refueling mission I like a bit of Deep Purple Space Trucking blasting, never sure why but I have always loved the beat of this song.

That reminds me... you all know that 2001 and Echoes go together? Stop the movie at "Jupiter and beyond infinity"; put the needle on the record; restart movie at the first ping. Probably both Pink Floyd and Kubrick had a similar feeling of how long you harp on the same theme until you need to change... but the match could hardly be better if it was deliberate.
