There is this, suggesting that there is a reason to evacuate the KSC. What else would require this but the destruction of KSC?

Not that I'm any more convinced it's destructible buildings, but if Squad's development roadmap goes: Science Framework Patch > Economics Framework Patch > Destructible Buildings I'm gonna be astounded. I mean, who even asked for destructible buildings this early in the build? And what about any number of other root features and elements that everyone been literally begging for since day one?

Like, what drunken dart throw would make it so destructible buildings jumped queue in alpha development over like, water that isn't blue cement, or air that isn't invisible water, or re-entry being more than a lightshow, or a VAB data GUI that lets someone know if their rocket will actually get off the ground, or a thousand other boilerplate elements that are more dire and important and desired than destructible buildings in a rocket sim.

Would it be interesting if the secret feature was simulated physics in the space assembly building? Triggered by X part count or some other unintuitive reason. Just slapping stuff together and physics takes which makes your craft crumble to the ground in an unstable, explosive and amusing way.

Especially if you had to rebuild from scratch.

I have a feeling the feature would have something to do with laying ground work for expanded kerbal stats. repeated crashing causes the kerbals stats to go down. Not sure what fun one would have in watching stats plummet unless that kerbal gets fired or something. Putting in mechanics that allow us to influence the stats could lead to the stats having a major function
