<p>So what’s the secret feature? It isn’t the part rendered in this photo, though it is very nice. It’s actually destructible buildings!</p>

Loving the Mk2 crew tank, but not so keen on the repositioned hatch on the cockpit. I guess it's to be more in line with the crew tank, but still.. it just means more ladders to reach the ground and we all know how excellent kerbals are at negotiating ladders..

That aside, destructible buildings, yay! I saw the livestream and my jaw dropped when the admin building blew up.. coupled with the new explosions, it was amazing.. and the way the VAB collapsed looked incredible. Excellent work from everyone involved!

So... may as well get this ball rolling: My bet is that this "thoughness" attribute will eventually be applied to regular parts, allowing something between good condition and completely gone... inflight repairs anyone? They may allow for destroyed parts to have unique destruction animation too!

0.25 has so many little features that add up to create lots of hype. Destructible buildings, admin building, spaceplane parts are all pretty small additions but they add up :D

I agree with you.

I can't remember a such amount of hype since 0.18, the docking update.

We shall call this update "the hype update"

Destructible buildings will be nice. I guess I'll finally see if my MFI is any good at doing actual damage with it's bombs... :) That said, I'm not that hyped. Aside from SPP parts and the new FX, most improvements concern the career mode, and it's a bit too easy for me. Me, I hope for some critical bugfixes for some things that were around for quite a while...

well if career mode is too easy, at least you now have the settings to turn down the amount of money/science/reputation you get to make it harder :D

It's another difficulty factor- which is nice.

Now if only Squad would upscale Kerbin 2-3x (it's currently 1/11th the radius of Earth- so 2-3x larger would still be tiny/easy) so that rockets weren't so ridiculously easy to get to orbit once you get the hang of it ("just add MOAR BOOSTERS") and the curvature of the planet weren't so visible from the launchpad; and add a realistic aerodynamics model; I would be THRILLED with Career Mode...
