Let's plan a mercury mission!

A couple of years ago I had to design a manned research outpost of Mercury. Obviously one would utilize the polar ice deposits for housing, oxygen production, and hydration(duh), one would also use solar power in conjunction with geothermal energy...

Solar power won't work near the ice deposits, given they're permanently shaded, and geothermal would be very hard to get working given mercury appears to be geologically dead.
