Completing the circuit

I'm working on a space station design and I'm trying to create a square shape. I'm running into a problem where the last piece should, and appears in the VAB to be connected to two parts completing the square, but up in space it detaches and it's obviously only connected to one of the parts.

Unfortunately ksp parts work like tree branches and can't join to more than one part.

The only solution I know is the multi docking port support method of having more than one docking port and by ramming to fast to join to docking ports together. Sorry can't be of more use its 0030 and I'm typing from a kindle

Due to way the parts tree is structured in KSP, you can't form closed loops by connecting parts to nodes. You can, however, use struts to stitch together the ends of the loop and everything works just fine.

Thanks, I did not know about the tree structure limitation, but the struts solution will probably work, provided I can get them placed in the correct spot.
