Looking for plugin developers taking over

Hey,

As some of you may know, I have developed quite a few plugins for KSP. Now, I'm the kind of guy that never quite stops getting his hands dirty with new stuff - which has the inevitable consequence of getting my plate fuller each time. That in turn makes it difficult to expand and support existing stuff.

So, to keep this story short, I am looking for plugin developers wanting to take over some of my plugins, to keep expanding on them, and also to be managing support requests from players. These are the plugins that I'm looking for a new owner for:

- Interactive in-game tutorial plugins: Docking / Rendezvous / Moon Travel

- Voice Commander - control crafts with your voice (very small user base, but might be interesting nonetheless)

Already taken:

- Achievements - earn achievements while playing - new thread: here

- Internet Relay Chat (IRC) - chat while playing - new thread: here

- Ambient Light Adjustment - who needs lights in space?! - new/old thread: here

- Online engine cluster calculator (browser-based, JavaScript) - new thread: here

If you want to take over one of these, please contact me via PM. You will be getting all source files, asset source files, and the like. Plugins that are on GitHub should simply be forked there. The plugin threads can be changed so that you are the owner of the thread (this will require assistance from moderators.)

Please note that I'd like the licenses to stay the same. In the case of GPL, I will not relicense them under a different license. In the case of the BSD license, it is technically your choice to change the license at will, but it would be cool if it would stay the same.

If you have any further questions, just contact me via PM or in this thread.

I would be able to take over the engine cluster calculator. I am a web developer, and work on/with GitHub all day.

That being said, I would also love to see someone who wants to learn more about web development (or development in general) take a role.

Blizzy, have you considered making a group on GitHub, so someone like Sniperlrsw would be able to take the lead on maintaining the project, then other members of the group could step in if they needed help triaging a more challenging issue?

This actually seems like a great idea, it means that problems that are over my head still can get fixed but i still have some involvement.

If we were to do this, would you be willing to be a member of the group?

Sorry for the late reply, somehow my subscription to this thread seems to have gotten lost.

Sounds like a good idea to me, I can do that. Now, have you considered where to host it then? It does not need any server side components. (Well, if you remove this part. I put it in to get some usage statistics.) You just need some hosting for the static HTML, CSS, and JavaScript files.

Oh, I didnt realize you were looking for someone to take over hosting as well. No worries I will gladly host it!

Edit: I just bought a domain kerbalenginecalc.com and spun up a small droplet on digital ocean.

I will get nginx and varnish installed and then pull the lastest version of the code in.

This thread is quite old. Please consider starting a new thread rather than reviving this one.
