Just as a heads-up, I'm not getting any landing gear screech on contact when using HandHunter's temp fix.

I know an official update is coming soon (THANK YOU!), but I just wanted to mention it.

Cant wait for an update to work with 1.1.2 ^^ XD , best and essential mod ever XD. Realy dont know why its not in the stock game. Keep up the awesome work dude.

Ah, I was wondering why the mod broke all my spacecraft controls (not sure what's the name for this bug, but I lost all control of ships in orbit, and they had their engines giving the fuel burning effect without actually doing anything).

Eagerly await the next update! And of course, take as long as you need!

That post that you quoted was from three months ago and KSP versions have changed a bit since. Developer priorities can also change, no need to make someone feel small for wondering what is happening in development.

Since @pizzaoverhead is short on time I went ahead and did my own little temporary fix until he can get back to it.  Source code and binary can be downloaded here.

Here is the commit for those wanting to see the actual code changes.  Ignore the other files, that is just me being lazy.  CollisionFX.cs is all that changed.
