It's back!

You must go interstellar with Kron 7.

There are still some unvisited targets in the system, as well as the most difficult target of them all - Ablate (for which I'm sure someone will revive a mod).

I'm afraid Kron wouldn't stand a chance against interstellar travels. I could use a different setup like some more advanced engine, but then it wouldn't be Kron...

Yes it would. I don't care about travel times - we have DeepFreeze!

Δv is the issue. It might be impossible for a Kron type ship to reach Ablate on my computer. Think about the resources needed for going interstellar. If I had a better computer, I'd do it, but I don't.

Mission update.

Kron 6 successfully reached and entered orbit around Beros.

It's a quote gouged body with enormous craters, colored similar to Bop.

Its day lasts for more than 3 Earth days. It's time for visual assessment of the potential landing sites.

Something is down there, on Beros. Something unnatural.

This photo was taken from orbit, looking through the window.

Here's a closer look.

Bob thinks it's dangerous to go down there.

Valentina doesn't share Bob's opinion.

Let's go down.

As soon as the probe got close to the anomaly, problems with its electronics started. This is the last photograph sent up to the ship.

The probe soon lost control and crashed nearby.

On another pass over the site, the crew saw the landing site, but there was nothing they could do anymore. Data was sent to KSC and, after brief investigation, it will be decided where to land the Knugen lander.

The Ministry has decided to force the unwilling crew to land on Beros by telling them the TV stream from home will be cut off if they decide to quit. Bill can't allow that because he has already started binge watching reruns of "Friends".

Knugen lander is preparing for undocking.

Knugen detached.

The anomaly is already visible.

Landing was very smooth at 0.1 m/s.

The crew is staring at the landed probe and the anomaly in the distance through the lander window.

This seems to be a safe distance. Or is it?

As always, scientist Bob Kerman was sent to investigate. Valentina is the lander pilot and Bill didn't want to go.

Beros' gravity is very slight so walking on it is quite difficult.

Instead, he used thruster hopping.

Now, after checking the probe, he's peeking behind the probe's radio transmitter. "I am scared!", says Bob.

"We have limited electricity, hurry up!", the crew in the lander is anxious to get back from this weird place.

Bob can see black ridges from this site, so he has to get closer.
