Just to let you know, the latest version of Kopernicius appears to have broken this mod, as well as many other planet packs. upon loading a game, the space center is not there, everything is black, and you can only access the pause menu

Are you talking about Kopernicus 1.2.1-2?  Yeah, I'm reading that thread now.  Whoopsie daisey.....

I've already informed Capt about this issue. I even told him how to fix the problem. I'd give it a maximum of ten hours before this mod is updated.

To fix it yourself, you need to edit the files Sarnus.cfg, Urlum.cfg, Neidon.cfg, Thatmo.cfg and Tekto.cfg.

In those files, find the value Atmosphere -> lightColor. Copy and paste the value of this entry elsewhere. Next, delete the lightColor value entirely and replace it with

AtmosphereFromGround

{

waveLength = X

}

Next, replace the X with the value of the lightColor. Keep in mind that you should always use the same color in the same config, ergo, a value optained from Urlum's config should be used in Urlum's config only.

I know, it may sound a little confusing, so if you'd rather wait

(Just download Sigma's patch, it should be in the post above mine. Trust me, this guy's a Kopernicus ninja.)

take comfort in the knowledge that it should be fixed very, very soon. I actually already fixed the issue in the configs, tested them in-game, then sent them to Capt, now I only have to wait for him to read it.

Does anybody know if KerbNet will detect the anomalies on the OPM planets/moons? I've been looking, but so far no anomalies have cropped up on my KerbNet scanners. I might be looking in the wrong places, though, or I might just be missing them (anomaly detection only has a 30% chance to work each time), but without knowing where they are I can't tell if KerbNet works or not.

I don't know about KerbNet but SCANsat certainly works.

I haven't looked for anomalies in OPM 2.1, however.  I understand they've changed from before.  Last time I looked (in KSP 1.0.5), there weren't very many at all, and they were just hold-overs on a few moons that were modified from stock planets.  So there was a monolith on Orvok, the Tylo caves on Slate (actually about 1500m up in the air), and something (probably another monolith) buried on one of the moons of Urlum.  But that was it.  So I wouldn't expect many now.

kopernicus doesn't allow to edit anomalies, for now we only have the option to remove them.

so every OPM planet will have the same anomalies of the template used for that planet

Well, I hope the Orvok monolith is still there.  It was perfectly placed and has become part of pop culture over in the Mission Reports forum :)

Hi, stock Kerbal experience changed with 1.2, so you could train your kerbonauts to three stars by orbiting Kerbin, escaping Kerbin' SOI and, instead of landing on both of Kerbin's moons as it used to be, you could just orbit one and land in the other.

However, something in OPM or Kopernicus (I'm guessing some MM patch somewhere) returns that to the previous values, which requires landing in both moons. Assuming it's a MM patch, any idea which one is it? And is it intentional? In either case, I'd much rather pre-train my kerbals by just landing in one moon instead of having to do both landings, so I'd like to modify/erase whatever config file changing that.

<Bump> I'm trying to figure out how to change experience back too.

Anyone tried doing a 3.2 body size/6.4 orbit resize for Sigma Dimensions + OPM? I've been playing with that (I even asked on the other subforum), but my solutions are probably rather naive (i.e. they don't go beyond the obvious, and a massive upscale to top level tracking station and antennas). I'm particularly interested in bodies that should be exceptions, and other people's approach to antenna range scaling.

I confirm empty black universe.

I will uninstall the mod for now since I don't have any crafts orbiting extra bodies right now. Hope there are no more inconsistencies to look out for aside from that.

Before people start freaking out over something that is really simple to solve,

you can download this cfg and put it in your GameData folder, it will make sure you can avoid the AFG bug.

so please don't bother planet pack developers, use this one until they get the time to fix their mods.

I'm going full CKAN-exclusive route. No changes other than those CKAN provides.
Not that I don't know my way around hand-editing numerous files as I did before with KSP and keep doing with other games.
I've had my hands wet in the past but this time around I want to support a package manager by actively taking a stance of relying on it completely.
I'm ready to suffer whatever losses this brings as I am already deprived of FAR, MJ2 and many other mods I couldn't imagine playing without.
CKAN is demanding but I believe it to be the best thing to ever happen to modding in general. KSP mod scene is ready to mature.

it's inverted in the same way that the image is. DDS is always saved flipped vertically. What I don't get is why it would happen to just OPM, as it uses the DDS format just like stock KSP does. Could you use it for a stock body too?

Kind of along the same lines (I think), but I have a similar issue that only came up after I installed OPM. Not game breaking obviously, but I'm not sure what other implications there are. I had a very similar issue in 1.1.3 but was never sure what the culprit was. I do know now that it is definitely OPM (or possibly Kopernicus) since it was relatively recently released. Additionally, I uninstalled it with the very recent Kopernicus update and subsequently reinstalled OPM. The issue came and went with OPM.

Cheers,

this is a known EVE issue that comes up when Kopernicus is installed.

it only affects the mainmenu
