Is it possible to craft a solid square frame?

Recommended Posts

I want to build a big rover frame, but then I found it's hard to build a solid one.

It's OK to just build a frame-like shape, but I didn't found a way to close it

If you just place the fourth beam, the frame looks good but it's not connected

Sure you can add some struts, it's better, but still not solid.

I didn't found a way to build a two-point-connection, is there one?

You can make it connect with a strut, try using the visual instructions in this post.

Yep, this works. For added stability, you can connect the 4th beam to 2 others; the beam it would be connected to via nodes, and the one opposite it in the square. That way the rover won't flex weirdly quite as much when it hits a nasty bump :)

Can someone post a screenshot of what this "square" looks like?

Those pretty much cover it. A couple struts to make it stay together is really all that it needs.
