Modded parts doesn't complete contracts

I started a new career mode in 0.90, tried to use the "Sounding Rockets" mod to fulfil the first altitude contracts but as I reach the 5000m mark, the contract doesn't complete itself, unlike when I use a stock part to do it.

I think that's because it needs to be a manned flight to break those records.
