The mission control building is shut down due to an overpowering putrid stench. Upon further investigation, a moldy spoiled sandwich is found under a desk. Analyzing the sandwich, it is estimated to be at least 5 years old. Several new species of bacteria and fungus are discovered on it.

The mission control building has undergone a thorough cleaning, but it is believed that the smell will never completely go away. A new regulation is passed confining all food to designated areas.

While work progresses covering Gilly in buildings, Terry Kerman, captain of the Koyager, which is stranded in Duna orbit due to poorly-guessed dV requirements, hatches a plan to drum up funding for the Space Program by broadcasting an elaborate simulation of a ring station around Eve. Unfortunately, a lot of Kerbals tune in partway through the broadcast and end up thinking this is happening for real, leading to widespread panic. Over the next fifteen years, historical records become rather unreliable.

Construction of the new Rockomax plant is finished, and in commemoration, the company distributes five golden tickets hidden in model rocket toys popular among Kerbal children, each of which admits the winning child and one guest a tour of the Rockomax factory. The winners never speak of the events that transpired during the tour, but it concludes with Mortdecai Kerman (ancestor of Mort Kerman) being made the heir to the title of Rockomax CEO.

The kraken war rages for 50 years

the armies and all the kerbals are tired of fighting. They give up fighting and start to expand their sphere of influance by building giant space broadcasting station. It used some of the most advanced tech know to kerbal such as K.264 codec, kerval tape, and kerbalphones. Those with colonies can listen to songs that are broadcasted through the station

something bad happens on board the grand tour Jool craft, and the crew evacuate. A manned mission is post-poned.

Kerbals decide to build an unmanned spacecraft and launch it to Jool - the probe runs out of power because he Jilbin forgot the solar panels; he was fired.

Kerbals decide to work on an unmanned approach for Jool once again, and the launch is prepared for the next year, when Jool is in optimal position. They actually remembered to place solar panels on the craft, with batteries and some useless science equipment.

Engineers at KSC are stumped by the puzzle of how to remove dropped parts from the insides of tubular rocket sections, until an intern is observed picking one up, turning it over, and shaking it. Work begins on an advanced grabbing unit to allow engineers to turn over and shake large and heavy rocket sections.

Bruce Kerman is torn up by the tragic loss of his parents in a launchpad fire, and becomes a masked vigilante known as DinoKerb. Wearing a Kraken costume, he hunts down criminals by night and shakes them violently.

In need of more advanced technology for his Kraken suit, DinoKerb founds the Kerbodino Foundation. Executives at his board meetings think the name is stupid and within two days the company is renamed "Kerbodyne," a name everyone agreed was moderately less silly. Their first product is a sticky paste they claim can be used to patch holes in spacecraft made by micrometeorites, and even holes made by micrometeorites in spacecraft made by Kerbals!
