Recovery values for Parts incorrect (Kopernicus?)

Recommended Posts

KSP Version: 0.90.0 Beta

Build ID: 00705 2014-12-15_13-42-05 Branch: master

OS: Windows 7 64-bit [but running KSP 32-bit]

What Happens: When recovering a vessel (after landing/splashing down on Kerbin), the distance from KSC is incorrectly listed and thus the parts are given a very low recovery value. The distance is always listed as "-942.5Km from KSC"

Mods / Add-Ons: Has occurred running KSP stock (no Add-Ons), also has occurred with all of these Mods running (simultaneously; bug not tested against each Mod individually) -

  • BoulderCo City Lights & Clouds
  • Crowd Sourced Science
  • Distant Object Enhancement
  • Kerbal Engineer
  • Kittopia Space
  • Kopernicus
  • TextureReplacer
  • TriggerTech Kerbal Alarm Clock
  • TriggerTech TransferWindowPlanner
  • Outer Planets Mod
  • PlanetShine

(all mods running the latest versions released on/before 1/20/15)

Steps to Replicate:

  1. Launch a spacecraft
  2. Achieve orbit around Kerbin, and/or leave Kerbin's SOI
  3. Re-enter Kerbin's atmosphere and splash-down or land on the surface.
  4. Recover the vessel using the UI button at the top of the screen.

Here is an Image of the recovery screen showing the parts calculation from a flight that splashed down just 15Km from KSC:

Please let me know if any further information could be helpful in troubleshooting this issue!

Thank you,

Ack, just to be sure I tested this again with a perfectly-clean install. I am finding that the bug is no longer occurring. Elsewhere online I can find references to this being an issue with Kopernicus, so I am now thinking that this bug only manifests itself after installing/using mods that rely on Kopernicus.

Moderators: You may delete this thread or move it to the modded support area; whichever you feel is appropriate.

Sorry!
