What do we call √?

What name is considered canon for the Kerbal unit of currency? The √ sign indicates possible calling them roots, the game just says funds. One guy said Kerbucks. Kerbols (like obols) sounded nice, but that is the name of the sun.

What is the official name, if any. Either suggest fun alternatives or ideas for the name of the Kerbal unit of currency.

"Funds" is a radical name I would root for.

Well played!

I think they should be called kuid, but I usually use funds.

As a Brit "kuid" sits nicely with me, nice 1 gov! I wonder if non-brits will get that?

Incidentally, I realised a while ago that the symbol isn't meant to be a square root sign. It's a graph, as might show money changing over time.

oh, really! TIL! I always thought it was a sqrt sign.

I call 'em "funds" in kinda official, serious contexts, but my own personal name for them is "space bucks" .. as in from Spaceballs.

"A million space bucks??"

(the space in between 'space' and 'bucks' is optional)

Kerdollars K$ (most keyboards don't have the root symbol without a fetch)
