I'm not sure this will work, but you seem to good with craft files and stuff. Can you make it so that when you open the select craft screen in SPH/VAB, you can create new folders in that menu in which you can put crafts. Basically, a method of craft file organization, and a search option? I'd like to expand on that idea. Tell me what you think.

Nice, I really like what you have done to the CraftBrowser.

I've a small suggestion if you can add a vessel viewer option as this suggestion, it would be awesome ;)

Thanks.

I had a quick look at that. But it doesn't seem to be possible in a easy, simple and good looking way. The part that complicates things is that the cam can't be expected to be in a specific position every time you would save a craft as well as that the UI could be in between the craft and the cam.

A search is already included. Creating categories without any vessels as well as moving crafts into categories without loading them isn't possible at this moment. But i like the idea of moving crafts around in categories without loading them so i will add it to the to-do list.

Have you taken a look at the Vessel Viewer plugin, perhaps it could do it easier ;)

Just uploaded version 1.2.0.

Changelogs can be found in the first post. The update is well worth it :). Lots of changes done including more categories that get saved in the craft file and a search for crafts.

Thank you so much SpaceTiger. I really am thankful for this update. Before this I was getting extremely long loading times and now it's fixed. I need to give you the biggest thank you of all time.:D

Sadly it doesn't make anything easier :(. I looked at the code and don't think i can implement it in CraftHistory.

YaY someone that likes my mod. Yeah i think these long load times happen in stock too but with CraftHistory its even longer cause of all the history entries.

On another note: CraftHistory works on CKAN now :)

Suggestion: Add a button to sort the craft entry's by safe time. So we can see the craft we edited last in first place.

Sounds like a good idea to me. I'll add a sort button which lets you sort the craft list by all the different stats.

This mod just got updated for KSP 1.0 :).

Changelogs can be found in the first post.

I'm... not really sure how to use this?

When I first go to the VAB there's nothing new whatsoever. I have to leave and reenter, then I have a button on the bottom in the VAB/SPH that opens up a Category menu, but there's nothing in it and while I can make a category, it doesn't seem to do anything else. Save and load menu are unchanged.

Literally the only mods I have installed are:

EditorExtensions (tried removing, did nothing)

HyperEdit

MechJeb

TweakScale (tried removing, did nothing)

Alternate Resource Panel

K2 pod

DMagicOrbitalScience (tried removing, did nothing)

Got rid of all mods, CraftHistory doesn't work.

By right clicking on it you will see the settings of this mod. There you can select when you want this mod to create a history entry. Recommended is on demand this will create an entry every time you save your craft. Other things it changes is the load menu where you can put your crafts into different categories.

Left clicking on the icon will open your current crafts categories that's probably why it seems like it doesn't do anything

Right, going to give it a shot. You should probably, like, make it clear that that's how it works for dumbs like me, because right-clicking menu buttons usually doesn't do anything for any other button in the game except sticky them 'open' :P

Exactly for this reason we added tooltips. But didn't test it with just one of our mods installed and it doesn't show up.

Yeah I'm not getting the 'mem' button either. And it still takes an enter/leave/reenter to make just the config / category button to show up.

The "mem" button is from another mod :). That it takes a reenter is not expected I'll look into it. Can you please upload your output_log somewhere ? It would be of great help.

Edit: I tried to reproduce this but i wasn't able to. The output log would be really helpful.

maybe I'm not understanding how it works? When I hit 'load', should something happen?

I assume by load you mean the stock load button ? Yes something should happen. A window like in the center of the screenshot should pop up.

Heya!

Thank you for this mod, though I am having some issues with the categories. Let me show you in pictures.

Here you see my list of vessels. I currently have three.

I open up the drop down for the craft, click the pen, type in the category and press the downward arrow to add it to the ship, finally I click save categories to file:

http://i.imgur.com/T5eZCNY.png

I do this to all three vessels (identical method, from the load/save menu, without loading the vessels).

http://i.imgur.com/XSzbGIQ.png

Now, I hit save, and the vessel I am currently selected jumps out of the category.

I assume this has to do with the current vessel not having that data stored on the loaded copy, and saving will overwrite. So, I guess this is both a bug report and a feature request baked in one. When assigning categories, and the craft is currently loaded, it has to assign it to the active save. That way, vessels don't jump out of categories all the time.

Hope I was a bit coherent. Loving the idea, just have to iron out a few things :)

Just uploaded a new version where this bug got fixed. Thanks for reporting it :)
