  2. Okay, that helps a bit. I also dug through the files, trying not to spoil myself, but now that I see there's a long period during which they can trigger and some differing circumstances, I'm not ready to say for sure that my install isn't working. I might suggest some faster, low-key experiments just to whet the appetite, as it were, for the Kerbals and players alike. Like spending a few hours in Kerbin orbit or something more readily achievable. The first Kuriosity experiment that appears is probably going to feel like magic! Having some in-game indication of where/how an experiment might become eligible would help with direction. Like attaching them to the mission dialogues, or adding a mission for some of them, or adding on attributes to certain parts (to be seen in R&D or the VAB) that are used for experiments. Vague suggestions are fine, just some indication of: hey, spend some time in this area or this part and Kerbals might do some extracurricular science on their own. EDIT: Or maybe some integration with Science Arkive?
  3. +1 The Boeing glasses are stronger than they seem. They face it every another Tuesday, Btw, for the same reason. P.S. Why, do you think, the pilots have guns? Exactly for that. No guns - more broken windows.
  4. Hi, I was about to mention that the color is always yellow even tho i made one waypoint "red" and one "green". then I searched and found this. search FTW. Thanks again for the mod! -CFTeague2
  5. Yea. I cannot get it to work. I have tried to troubleshoot it myself but lack the experience to do so. Earlier versions worked somewhat. First handful of missions were pretty fun. It was a really cool mod, but the author seems to be in a self imposed exile
  6. Thomas Stafford (commander, Apollo-Soyuz Test Project) dead at 93. https://www.nytimes.com/2024/03/18/science/space/thomas-p-stafford-dead.html
  7. I would be interested in seeing a gamemode specific towards multiplayer once it comes out that encourages speed or other competition between players

  9. I've solved the missing water for now, but anything I do to fix any other issue somehow seems to mess with it. On average, at least. The texture config for the volumetric clouds is missing, which I bet is a part of it, although I can't seem to find one. Not from the default config or AVP, which I've uninstalled because it messes with my game in general ways. I've concluded this because they seemed to resolve themselves once I deleted it. This part is a bit different from the rest, but every time I click "add segment" to an Astra Porta part from Blueshift, my game crashes. First, the screen goes black while the session continues. Next, I hear explosions. While the screen is black, I can't press any buttons most of the time, so I have no choice but to end the game. When I can press buttons, I usually go to either the space center, where it's usually not black anymore, but right after that I go to the tracking station, where it's black again and I can't press any buttons again. Other times I'll just go straight to the tracking station and I get the same result. Apparently, once the screen goes black, my vessel deletes itself, only for me to load the game again and It's just sitting where it was untouched like nothing ever happened, still not counted as a ring segment. Also, I can't find the file location for the flags. (it's not in the root file) My full ksp save is here. (including ksp.log)
  10. Sorry it's been a while since I posted, but I wanted to join in and share everyone's passion for cars
  11. i think whats happened is that you are hearing about the usual aircraft wear and tear that always happens when you operate an airline. things that wouldnt be noteworthy by those inside the industry. but because boeing is under so much scrutiny it gets reported as more qc issues when its really a maintenance issue. this does not help their situation any.
  12. It looks like they got deleted or something, not from a rule break but from just age i guess
  13. Did I mention it is a satellite? The plan is to have hundreds of these just orbiting different bodies. Manually going to each one and refueling is not practical or feasible. It also makes absolutely 0 sense to have to have a kerbal physically present to change fuel. Changing fuel in a nuclear reactor is not done with your hands, it is done by robot. Why is it in a more advanced world, they have to send someone to manually refuel and handle materials with their hands? It makes no sense. Kerbals have access to future tech we don't so why do they have to take a step backwards in this area? I would make a MM patch to remove this but I can't seem to get the parts to work like normal fuel tanks. Without being able to make the parts work by modifying their config files, I cannot make a MM patch to do the same. If someone could help me figure out how to make a MM patch that'd be amazing
  14. In the current setup, you'll have to send a resupply mission with a Kerbal engineer, do the EVA and switch the fuel manually, or ditch (deorbit or terminate) the satellite when it runs out of fuel.
  15. UNITED LAUNCH ALLIANCE PRESS RELEASE (2024-03-18) Delta IV to launch the Defense Rideshare Satellite Program-2 Mission (DRS-2) Rocket/Payload: A United Launch Alliance Delta IV Medium+ (4,4) rocket will launch the DRS-2 mission for multiple U.S. Government Agencies and multiple U.S. universities. Date/Site/Launch Time: Confirmed on the Eastern Range for Thursday, March 21 with a window ranging from 4:00 to 11:00 PM, with a Backup window on the 22nd of March with the same launch window, from Space Launch Complex 37B at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, Florida. Webcast: Not available. Multimedia will be available after the launch on the mission’s forum page. Mission Description: The DRS-2 Mission is comprised of six separate satellites from six different agencies and universities around the United States. The mission is jointly funded by the U.S. Space Force and the National Reconnaissance Office. The six spacecraft are as follows- -- DMIS-2 (Defense Mapping and Intelligence Satellite 2) (AFRL, U.S. Space Force) The Defense Mapping and Intelligence Satellite is a pathfinder spacecraft for a proposed series of small imaging reconnaissance satellites in low-earth orbit, carrying multiple new technologies and putting them to the test in their intended environment. The satellite was jointly developed by a team of Air Force Research Lab and U.S. Space Force personnel, and is intended to replace the DMIS-1 Satellite that was lost during the DRS-1 Mission in October 2020, due to technical issues with the satellite. -- NRO Payload (U.S. National Reconnaissance Office) No information. -- XSS-11 (AFRL, U.S. Space Force) The Experimental Satellite System-11 (XSS-11) microsatellite will demonstrate “a new class of low-cost spacecraft with the goal to explore a variety of future military applications such as space servicing, diagnostics, maintenance, space support and efficient space operations. Microsatellites, such as the XSS-11, will offer affordable platforms to demonstrate key capabilities including rendezvous and proximity operations, autonomous mission planning, as well as other enabling space technologies.” -- 3CS 1,2,3 (Sparkie, Ralphie, Petey) (U.S. Space Force, AFRL, ASU, NMSU, Cu-B, STP) The Three Corner Satellite program consists of three student-built microsatellites flying in formation with each other. The primary mission objectives are to demonstrate formation flying, provide imaging of cloud formations, and demonstrate autonomous operations. They were built by Arizona State University (Sparky), Colorado University-Boulder (Raphie) and New Mexico State University (Petey.) These satellites will be operated in conjunction with the U.S. Space Force, the Air Force Research Laboratory, and the Space Test Program. -- Launch Notes: The launch of DRS-2 will be the second-ever Delta IV launch from Space Launch Complex 37B at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, Florida. Complex 37B was purpose-built to meet the increased demand for Delta IV Launches and to ensure access to space for our Space Force, National Reconnaissance Office, NASA, And Commercial Customers. This mission is the Ninth Delta IV Rocket to be flown since its inaugural launch in 2020, and the First Delta IV Medium+ (4,4).
