  1. 1000 OTEs would make a bowl'o'porridge, or bowlo for short. The bowlo is only useful for the very largest launchers. 1000 bowlos makes a magicpot. Such a vast amount of OTEs is only applicable in describing the fuel used by an entire space program, or even multiple space programs. Should you attempt to put even one magicpot on a single ship, your computer will say "Stop little person, stop."

Well, explanation on mine now I'm on something with a keyboard. Briansun mostly got it already. In the ocean...Protests is the Boston Tea Party. a lake...questions refers to this what-if: https://what-if.xkcd.com/79/ But in a tank: as mentioned, British tanks since the mid 20th century have featured a "boiling vessel" on board for making hot drinks and heating ration packs. or from a gun refers to the myth that WWI maching gun crews would use the heated water from cooling the guns to make tea. (The myth is probably untrue, since the water would be tainted with oil so taste disgusting.) The war I'll ensure will be won may be a slight exaggeration, but tea was and is pretty important for us Brits. In far-flung countries I am grown, Shipped round the world for you to own is pretty self-explanatory, albeit a Euro/USAcentric viewpoint.

Comet? 10char. Edit: And I need to learn2pages. But on difficulty, with mine I tried (and failed) to make a riddle that would test the solvers against each other. So not so easy that it's just a case of who posts first and not so hard that it takes super-obscure trivia or blind luck to get it.

Dingdingding! We have a winner!Explanation to come later.
  5. It's a good way to measure fuel amounts for larger rockets, but not really new. For smaller rockets just giving the fuel amount suffices, or the mass of LFO.
  6. Danny made a planet-destroyer. Not warrantied for use in .24, do not attempt use on Jool.

Inasmuch as if I gave a riddle for "apple", I wouldn't take "food" or "fruit" as valid solutions. Anyway, riddle and clue reminder and new clue: In the ocean or a lake, Protests and questions are all I'll make, But in a tank or from a gun, The war I'll ensure will be won. In far-flung countries I am grown, Shipped round the world for you to own. Clue 1: It's not anything specifically military. Clue 2: It's a beverage. Since that narrows it down a lot, keep the number of guesses per post sensible please, don't just list every beverage you can think of in one go!
  8. 77. When 1 is a purely abstract concept with no relation to reality.

None of the above. Though some may be technically correct, just insufficiently specific.

I *think* oil was guessed already. Not rivets, heavy metals, or whales either.
  11. Yeah, space stations can cause part count issues. One possible improvement can be to edit the save file and disable docking ports, turning them into permanent joins. Docked docking ports seem to particularly attract lag. Otherwise, you just have to build with part count in mind.

Still not guessed. Good thinking with lead, but yeah, the extra two lines nix that idea. Next clue in about 18 hours anyway.
  14. If you've yet to arrive, I'd just capture into a polarized orbit. Ascending after landing isn't that tricky, just wait until the lander is under the orbit, and make sure you head the right way!

Nope, and I guess it's time for another clue, in the form of an extension to the riddle. In the ocean or a lake, Protests and questions are all I'll make, But in a tank or from a gun, The war I'll ensure will be won. In far-flung countries I am grown, Shipped round the world for you to own.
  16. A possible "quick patch" to the tricks with leaving ships in orbit and flag-planting kerbals on the ground might be for some (but not all, because let's make stations and bases worth doing) contracts to specify they must be done with a new vessel.

"Political power grows out of the barrel of a gun." - Mao Zedong. My riddle's not politics though. Lol, it seemed obvious when I wrote it, but evidently it's not so simple.
  18. If I remember rightly, it's not a station. Anyway, on holiday and installed the KSP demo on the tablet. It runs, but holy water lag batman! Will have to dig out the fix for that if I want to actually play it.
