parts [1.12.x] Sounding Rockets! Start small. Dream big!
RoverDude replied to RoverDude's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Sure, happy to take patches and if the FAR/RC ones are MM I can bundle those. Very cool! Payload rack as the root part is best, then slap in the probe controller this includes. Rather than add the older inline packages back, a better question is why the radial ones are causing issues? I include these because by having the internals component based, you get to learn fun things about balance, etc. - the idea of the mod being that you get to do lots of rocketry experimentation on the cheap and in the small. - - - Updated - - - Never added one in as we already have a 0.625m stock engine -

[1.12.x] Alcubierre Warp Drive (Stand-alone)
RoverDude replied to RoverDude's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Should really use subluminal engines for that - the mod is optimized for lightspeed travel. Other uses void the warranty- 1,694 replies

[1.12.x] Alcubierre Warp Drive (Stand-alone)
RoverDude replied to RoverDude's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Updating as updates occur - the mod works in it's current form so it requires relatively little maintenance, and I have about a dozen other mods to maintain- 1,694 replies

More info, like what tech tree you're using, and do you have any other tech tree mods. -
[1.12.x] Freight Transport Technologies [v0.6.0]
RoverDude replied to RoverDude's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Within two weeks. I'll be posting details in advance. It will likely be very boring. -
[1.12.x] Freight Transport Technologies [v0.6.0]
RoverDude replied to RoverDude's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
I need to look on the FS end - tbh I rarely use the FS hover mode and just fly manually. Side note - looks like I will be doing some twitch streaming on the various USI mods pretty soon, I'll see about doing some VTOL demos as part of that. -

There will be some welded parts to account for some of the configs that FTT needs. -

Yep, but if you want to make sure there's a specific github issue out that makes it a bit easier for me to fix. -

Sadness. Just found another thing that was broke in 1.0
RoverDude replied to DerpenWolf's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Ion engines being useable as atmospheric landing engines are tho, that's the side effect. -
Sadness. Just found another thing that was broke in 1.0
RoverDude replied to DerpenWolf's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Sure, if they were still a side effect. Now, they are not. Not because they were specifically targeted, just that a prior 'interesting and unintentional' side effect got corrected with the ISP changes. Use as landers should not be the driving design factor for ion engines. If players get creative, great. If for whatever reason the ability vanishes due to completely orthogonal balance updates, so be it. Not much different than people wanting infinigliders, etc. -
parts [1.2] USI Survivability Pack (Formerly DERP) [v0.6.0]
RoverDude replied to RoverDude's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
No answer on the first questions - but regarding ablation and DRE, that's more a question for the DRE thread. -
And yeah - feel free to distribute whatever - no different than there being a dozen TAC-LS greenhouses. But it would not be part of the core mod as that's kinda what MKS is for (especially with the new update).

Probably not as it's pretty counter to the balance of my other mods (i.e. I put cultivators higher on the tree, and the current greenhouse part is way too small to support that level of balance). (For more specificity) I don't agree with 100% self sufficiency in a package as small as a mini-greenhouse and a drill, since the drill makes the greenhouse's balance irrelevant since you now have an infinite supply of mulch. I counter this in MKS in a few ways... Decreasing efficiency over time (Machinery), heavier modules (the MKS Mk-II's have cultivators, Mk-V's do not), or (on the machinery/rocketparts side) with catalysts (so you get a mass reduction but still have a limiting factor). Now - what other folks want to do, etc. is totally up to them, but it would not make sense for me to bundle a config that's out of balance with the rest of the constellation (Trivia - the entire reason MKS exists is because I thought the contemporary greenhouse offerings for TAC-LS were too OP).

The mod you just described is MKS Take water/substrate, combine to make organics (which turn into supplies).

Will second doing this as MM. The rub is that folks copy stuff from this thread, and we end up planting the seed of future support issues
