Despite the hoaxers I would like to propose an alternate strategy for the Trojan arch.
We simply locate and hollow out another arch and bring it the location, saving fuel.
-
Don\'t look at the planet, look at your rocket from above.
Hope that helps.
-
Yep, nope.

It has been suggested that it be done though.

I\'m sure the people of Britain think it\'s a good spending of their billions (and oh that lovely private industry providing 2% of the cash, sure took the burden off the people there), I\'m sure they feel safe now that six surface-to-air missile sites have been set up on top of resident\'s buildings, I\'m sure they appreciate the fine 5,000V six metre fence surrounding the 'village'. I\'m sure everyone feels just great that the whole thing was kicked off (passing the torch) by a race started by Hitler & Co... Can you believe their tagline is 'inspire a generation'?! Training the populace to function with the police state - one international event at a time.
*Looks at the the funding every other nation puts in to their military* *Looks at funding no longer being put into British military, along with the ships and weaponry dropped recently*
Yep, I feel slightly less naked now.
You also forgot the jobs and business it brings. How many people have come to Britain or will be coming to Britain over the course of the Olympics? Where are they planning to stay? Are they bringing their own food? Maybe they would like to take a tour around London or a different historic city or town?
As a young person living in Britain who dislikes sport I do feel inspired by the Olympics. What you may not realise is that us young people in Britain statistically do not do enough exercise. The hope is that holding this world renowned sporting event will encourage schools and pupils to take part in sporting events.
I don\'t understand the 'Hitler and Co' reference. Please could you elaborate?

More info needed. Have you placed all the parts and plugins in their respective folders?

My planned craft, the \'Orion\'. Unfortunately I have an annoy tendency to refuse to power jet engines using rocket tanks, power rocket engines using jet tanks, use the aero-spike engine, or build anything much bigger than that.
Any advice in regards to keeping within these parameters?
-
Halo Ring?
That\'s a Stargate, silly.
The one that leads to the Ori?
-
No, that was WWI.
It was for both world wars (that\'s how the BBC put it anyway).
-
VTOL Elite: Rescue kerbals while still hovering in the air.
I\'m gonna try a deployment and pick-up for that.

Ever seen a balloon in space? It\'s not possible in real life, but might be possible to create in KSP.
(Just because no one else has explicitly said it: Balloons filled with helium burst because the balloon isn\'t strong enough to withstand the pressure of the gas inside. It is simply a material issue rather than a design issue.)

and also the fact you cut out the 7/7 bombing tribute... i was so enraged upon seeing that!
*Quiet voice* To be fair, the American public has no control over that...
-
The one thing I wonder from the Opening Ceremony is, where was the WWII tribute?
The silence we had part way through the history of Britain bit.
All in all I quite enjoyed the ceremony, and I hope we put on a good show that everyone enjoyed.
Let the sports begin.
-
My sock...
I suppose I can kill myself thus preventing the thermonuclear war from killing me.
-
To be fair they can never be 100% certain... There is always some doubt. For example we can\'t be 100% certain on our current model of the atom. We are very sure though.
All good news to be sure, but how will this affect us, the average Joe (Joe actually being my name... )?
-
Has anyone seen the Asus transformer?
A friend of mine has one and loves it. It is more like a netbook though, it isn\'t trying too hard to be a tablet.
-
Just to point out; Eisenhafen won\'t exist anymore.
-
Congratulations!
-
Kennedy Space Center.
(I know. )
-
We are GO for launch. follow at NASA KSC
Err... KSC? Kerbal Space Centre?

Not to be a party pooper- but does anybody besides me view this as a COMPLETELY unbalanced mod? If that is the design, ok then. But if this mod is made to be balanced - I shouldn\'t be able to get the LK large lander all the way into orbit, onto the Mun, and back.
It is currently an aesthetic mod rather than a balanced one. (From what CBBP has said before)
-
My plan would be boring... Put the money somewhere safe and live my life normally, only dipping into it when I\'m short...
-
I suggest landing legs, if you have the demo, get the novapunch pack.
The door is open, he\'s got 0.15. ;D
-
Nice to see some people listen to real music.
I\'ve got classic FM at the movies on my iPod so for me it is; Starwars (from II and IV), Apollo 13, Pirates of the Caribbean (don\'t ask), Back to the Future... Probably a couple more.

Well after messing around it does seem to work, my tank in the lowest stage draining first. However, I have another theory; The order in which you add tanks to the VAB. Try building a rocket minus the upper tank, disconnect everything below where you want the tank, place the tank, reconnect everything.
Going to test some more.

*Grumbles quietly*
Well the public transport system has definitely been improved...
At least the games result in something, we throw lots of money into lots of other black holes... :-[
Edit: And yes, thought about that after noticing it was the 36th reply.
