I want maneuverability, I use high, swept wings with anhedral, and forward swept tailplane, and double rudders. CoM must be behind CoL by a tiny amount, and the fighter has to be wider than its longer. For speed, two of the turborams are enough, mostly. CoT should be below CoM to assist in turning, and airbrakes are a must. I use FAR, so I have to fiddle with wing placement in very fine settings according to graphs.
Outcome is usually a fighter that turns 15°-20° a second at mach 2 and pokes for mach 3 at sea level.

Even though plane parts are awesome, rockets need a little love too. Air augmented rockets anyone? Good for both sides.

I use planes way more than rockets. I do atmospheric flights, SSTOs to everywhere, multistage planes, vtol belly landers with wings for no-air bodies. Rockets are only for when I need to do something Fast and Furiously like putting a 10m diameter full station in orbit on a single flight.
All I need are electric props (or resistance heated jets) and lighter than air vehicles.
I do not know which option from the poll suits me. I do not inspect cacti in misery, but I soar through the skies of all atmospheric bodies. Jool included.

I picked 0.90 and 1.x because
0.90 was a big performance boost.
1.0.4 boosts performance even more, but aero effects started lagging very much.
1.x hopefully includes 1.1, which hopefully cures these headaches even more and doesn't crash of memory usage.
