The main problem with RCS and settling fuel is that RT doesn't let us fire RCS using it's flight computer, so we have to look into kOS which isn't really too friendly to the average player Easy solution is to just go on and stick tons of scaled down ullage motors on board, although that is less than ideal.
  2. Yes the OP seems to be getting quite old by the looks of things. We don't need TechManager anymore to load the trees, so that should be cut out now.

  5. Hmm, I'm having the same sort of issue, with missing effects and sound for certain engines. I don't have either RealPlume or HotRockets though. Just that it was my first run on 1.0.4 the problem arose so I wasn't really sure of the cause. Just putting this out there so somebody can figure out what's going on.
  6. You said you want to add some new part configs into the release and that's taking time, so is it possible to push a fix/compatibility release first and then work on adding new configs for the feature release after that? I don't want to play KSP without RF anymore

  8. Sorry, I wasn't being clear enough too. As I mentioned in the previous post, I had the sound issue (also effects for the LV-1 were missing too, same with RCS I used) and that was the reason I went to dig inside the output log. The config error line was just something I found while I was at it. In game, I seemed to be getting thrust from the RCS thrusters and it did have fuel drain so I guess it was working. Just that it didn't have any effects associated with it, which probably is a whole different issue as you said. As for the full log, the file is so large that it's taking so long to upload (360MB gees), so I'll get that link posted once that's complete. Please bare with the DRE error spam inside, that was due to me using an old version of DRE. Just delete all to make it easier to read. EDIT: Here's the download link for that log file. http://www./download/2xpqv1jcq8gj0ah/output_log.txt I also had this issue with KER, in my case the current stage's Dv and stage remaining time reads 0 while the stage is burning. Every other reading has no problem. I'll try testing if it's actually a RF or StockAlike problem later.

  11. I think this is a stockalike config problem so I'll post this here. I found this popping up in the output log file. Probably the config for this is not set correctly?   13. I remember someone talking about it before, but I totally forgot what that mod was. I remember him saying something about controlling probes from mission control on the ground or something. If anyone has an idea of what mod this is, please tell me what that is
  14. Can we get engine configs for BoxSat engines by any chance? Oh and is it intentional that you set upper stage engines from KW, like Vesta VR-1 and Maverick-1D to only a single ignition? I remember them having 4 before. It's really hard to use them as an upper stage engine if they only have a single ignition.

  16. I'm trying to get KSP running on linux (Ubuntu to be exact), but I'm not really sure which file I have to execute. I want to get the 64bit version obviously, but I noticed there wasn't any download link specifying the 64bit client on KSP official download page. Regardless I've downloaded the Linux version and unzipped it. Now what do I do? I assume I launch the client through KSP.x86_64?
  17. As the title states, the game stops while loading the game in at the start, always when it gets to the LV-N engine part. This is after ModuleManager finishes applying. To be clear, the game is NOT crashing but rather just stops loading. Text on the loading screen still changes over time like normal so it's not the client hanging up. I've also checked to confirm it's not a memory limit issue, as KSP was only taking about 2GB of memory when the issue occurs. I have checked this multiple times. So I looked inside the output log and got this at the bottom. looking at this, I've tried reinstalling FAR since that seems to come up a lot, but it didn't help. Neither with RF. I have no idea about the U235Rods resource, never heard of that being used anywhere. If anyone has an idea about this please give me some help.   20. So now that ullage is a thing in RF, does that mean I don't need engine ignitor anymore? Or is that still required? Since EI isn't updated in quite a while, I was thinking of removing it if RF finally has the feature incorporated.
  21. Wouldn't squad tell you these things if you send them a question? Or if you make out your own alternate solution to the stock effects and send that over as a proposal, maybe they'd consider it. I do think it's a good thing to not bother them so much, but if working it out by yourself is as hard as you say, I say you should take the problem up to squad also. I'd really love to see your visions come true, of a truly magnificent view of space!

  23. I'm interested in this mod but before I try, I first want to know if the proposal made in the Test Flight wiki is already implemented or in the works right now. I really don't like the idea of failures being completely random, without a clear cause to the issue. So it'd be nice if the Complex method proposed there is already implemented, or at least in the works.
  24. So I have these two problems with my 1.0.2 install. Lots of mods so don't make me go through all of them to test one by one... I'm running this version since my modset is not compatible with 1.0.4, so it would be best if I don't have to update my KSP install in order to fix these issues. For the first problem, I've dug through my output_log file and found this entry being spammed. I think it's something related but I couldn't figure out where this .Part.temperature file was supposed to be in. So I'd like to get some advice on what this might be and where I'm supposed to have this file in.
