  1. You can make your own burgers in KSP!? This is awesome!
  2. There are some weapon mods that add bombs with a blast radius though, but maybe Squad never considered that when they said the feature is not in a mod...
  3. Wow. The "Yes, I agree with you 100%" bar looks a lot smaller now (Either that, or the two bars underneath it have grown significantly)!
  4. You can do some cool jumps with rovers on Minmus, Bop, or Pol. Try doing that on Gilly, and you'll never come back down!
  5. That's actually not a bad idea. But why would the art team be "chained to their desks"?
  6. Yeah, this sort of ruins the whole "Single Stage To Orbit" thing. Just be sure to position your center of lift and gear correctly, and you won't even need canards.
  7. Gilly is a cool moon, but it can get pretty frustrating. Ships tend to drift slowly across the surface because of the low gravity, Kerbals can't walk, and there's no time warp below a certain altitude, so you usually find yourself thrusting towards the surface in order to get there faster.
  8. I should've said "I'm not on the total realism side" then.
  9. Awesome! I'm glad you guys made the explosion shockwave look very cartoony (I'm on the non-realism side).
  10. Here's my attempt at making the Hype 07: The tender and large wheels looks kinda wierd, but I'm overall pleased with how it turned out. HypeTrain FTW!
  11. Unity 5 has multi-core support for physics as well as PhysX 3.3, which should take full advantage of my quad-core CPU and graphics card. However, it's release date is unknown, and will still probably be months, so I might end up buying an Intel CPU before then.
  12. Adding a fuel bar doesn't seem that hard, but maybe there's an issue preventing the devs from doing it (probably because the ion, LV-1, and 0-10 engines all don't follow the standard fuel crossfeed rule).
  13. As sad as this is, I'm very impressed that it took Mojang nearly six years before they made the decision to get involved with a large corporation.
  14. Too bad KSP is a game that is all about physics, because of course, Unity uses only one core for that. This is why Unity 5 is so important, it has made many of us (including the devs) very excited!
  15. My computer is just the same. BF3 runs at a smooth 60 fps even with the highest graphics setting, but KSP runs at about 15 fps if I have over 300 parts on my ship...
  16. Exactly. What IS a good player, Squad?
  17. So I closed all of the most useless and CPU-hungry programs in task manager, but I didn't notice any effect. Is there anything else I can do? And if not, are there any good CPUs out there that run KSP well?
  18. All I really want added is improved aerodynamics. I'm indifferent about re-entry danger or life support, but if they do decide to add those, they should make them an option.
  19. I was considering a CPU upgrade, but my computer isn't custom built, and was only really intended to stay the way I bought it. I still may do it, though, as it struggles with other games as well. I'll try closing unnecessary programs in task manager to see if that helps even a little. Thanks for the advice!
  20. I have this problem too, and I just got a new GPU around the time 0.24 came out. It's probably the CPU, as all the effects are modeled depending on the speed and orientation of every part on your ship.
  21. Hello everyone, A few weeks ago I installed a new graphics card, which removed all lag caused by terrain, smoke effects, scenery, etc. However, my computer still struggles with part count, and the game drops to around 15 fps when only 400 parts are loaded. I start to notice lag with 150, and is almost unplayable with 600+. Is there any way I can reduce this lag, whether it be software or hardware changes? Computer specs: GPU: Nvidia Geforce GTX 750 Ti CPU: AMD A8-5500 APU Memory: 8 GB RAM OS: Windows 8 64 bit I think it's the CPU which is causing the lag, because after doing some research I found out that my GPU's PhysX isn't being used by KSP, and that all physics calculations are done by the processor.
  22. I got a new graphics card a few weeks ago, hoping that it's PhysX would allow for higher part counts. However, KSP still makes the processor deal with all the physics calculations, and I still get major lag with ships that have 300+ parts. However, Unity 5 looks very promising, so I'm probably going to wait until then before I make any more changes to my computer.
