I took this shot through my telescope back in 2009 by manually tracking it.

The hardest part is getting the camera settings right..

I'm amazed that it is possible to see the ISS in that much detail, considering it's going across the sky extremely fast and is quite far away. Do have a good idea of how close it was when you took those pictures?

9/10 Cool, letters made out of rocket parts. The jet on the bottom looks pretty neat, as well.

Thanks for these summaries as always, 5th!
I can't wait for some Unity 5 news next week.

I never knew about that! I guess it could be used to activate things that can't be binded to an action group, such as making Kerbals go on EVA, while still keeping the displays hidden.

You're talking about a group of beings that tend to launch themselves into orbit before figuring out what a wheel is.
Chances are, they don't even know they have a flag. One of them just happened to get his shirt caught on an antenna tower.
That first sentence is going in my sig!
Anyway, I never really thought about the flag and wind direction. It is a video game, after all.

Granted. You die because you are a forum member as well.
I wish I had faster Internet speeds.

Banned because of April Fools Day pranks.

Yes, open Command Prompt as an administrator, then type "wuauclt.exe /updatenow" and hit enter. Make sure windows update is open or running when you do this.
I will try that. thanks!

Does anyone here know how to install Windows 10 without the use of the Windows icon on the task bar? The latest Windows 8.1 updates failed to install because of Error 80070246 (which I can't find a fix for anywhere), so I don't have that.

Rushed rover wheels and field science experiments (some from DMagic's), then farmed KSC for a second round of science
Mun landing number 2 shall be glorious!
This made me want to build a tractor for the sole purpose of "farming" KSC as well:

It actually drives better than I thought it would. The only problem is it leans when turning, which can be bad if you don't compensate in time.

The new aerodynamic model in 1.0 (and the more recent patches) tends to make rockets flip when the orientation goes too far from prograde. Try keeping the rocket's orientation near the prograde vector in the first 10-20 km of atmosphere. Adding fins to the bottom of the rocket helps too.
Also, start your gravity turn right after leaving the launchpad so that you don't have to turn over to the horizon more aggressively later on. Turning over 5 degrees is good enough.

Jeb, of course, was the first Kerbal to land on the Mun in my current career game. He was so excited to get out of the lander and step onto the surface of the Mun, that he fell on his back instead:

I like it! The track looks very sturdy and smooth.
-
Because left right.
What is the answer to this question?
-
A line on the drill that shows the minimum depth requirement could be useful. If the line is below the landing legs, then you're good.

Convenience, it saves a click when going to view the rules. There is only one rules thread (for the obvious reason of making them less tedious to edit), and we used to have a sticky thread in each subforum containing a link to the rules. So you'd have to click that thread, then click the link. Now we have a redirect in each subforum instead, clicking that redirect brings you right to the rules in one click.
Ah, I see. Thanks!
-
I'm sorry if this has been asked before, but is there any reason why the sticky Forum Rules thread shows it's been "moved?"

For some reason I now would like to see this castle (maybe scaled) on Mun, similar to other non interactable scenery.
There might be a sandcastle on Mun already, and we just haven't found it yet.

This is truly amazing. I am so glad to have an interest in this kind of stuff.
Im not even part of the project and those few minutes right there just now were better then any stupid sporting event I ever seen.I can't agree more. This is much, much cooler than any sporting event.

Today I sent a small manned lander to Duna.

I called the rocket Duna One because it's been a really long time since I last went to Duna, nothing to do with Mars One.

This is very exciting. The new images of Pluto are simply amazing compared to what we had before. I can't wait for what we get at the flyby.

I don't know why, but it's so satisfying to jump up on tables and knock everything off them.
Come hear about KSP 1.1, straight from Squad!

Wow, just wow. The new parts, Unity 5, improved contracts. I have a good feeling this update is going to be just amazing, possibly more amazing than 1.0!
