  1. only when the sails are open The drag is based on the facing of the sails towards your heading
  2. Version 1.6.1.1 for Kerbal Space Program 1.8.1 - 1.10 Released on 2020-07-27 Compiled against KSP 1.8.1 Added Background processing for orbital drag effects on Deployed Solar Sails Fixed Golden Solar initial opening in VAB Fixed power supply by Solar Sails Fixed issue where drag caused orbital inclination
  3. This might be a long shot but I got an idea. What we could relatively easily implement is circumstantial N-Body Simulation at and near calculated Larange points. What this means that under normal condition, you use stock Physics and only once a vessel get close to a these stable larange point you gradualy switch to Background N-Body physics, allowing you to put vessel at an Larange Point. This might not be perfect but at least avoid most of the pitfalls while allowing to put vessels stable at favoratable positions.
  4. Many KSP modders have considered that while the stock parts (namely, engines) are overpowered for stock scale, they are tuned just right for 2.5x scale
  5. Version 1.6.0 for Kerbal Space Program 1.8.1 - 1.10.0 Released on 2020-07-25 Compiled against KSP 1.8.1 Added Background processing of solar force on open solar sails
  6. I'm currently working on my Photon Sailor mod, which has orbital decay simulation and considered extending it to all vessels. I wondered how it could be achieved realisticly and how this mod calculatded drag and mass, but after looking at the code I concluded, it doesn't, it simply assumes everything is a brick of 1 ton with the drag surface of 1 square meter. That was a bit of a dissapointment.
  7. Version 1.7.3 for Kerbal Space Program 1.8.1 -1.10.0 Released on 2020-07-23 Compatible with KSP 1.8.1 - 1.10 Added Configuration for default Persistent behavior setting Improved CPU performance Fixed throttle control during while unpacked Fixed issue where maneuver node might cause it to travel in a random direction during background processing
  8. Well regarding resistorest, I would think you still have the same limitation that plagues solid core nuclear engine, which if the engine has an anti-reducing or anti-oxidizing coating. which would limit the propellants
  9. Version 1.7.2.1 for Kerbal Space Program 1.8.1 - 1.10.0 Released on 2020-07-21 Added support for Target Mode during Kerbalism background processing Added maneuverTolerance setting Fixed potential issue with infinite burn projection when it shouldn't Fixed issue of double fuel usage during realtime burns Fixed MJ and other Δv readouts seeing 0 thrust Fixed various errors that were thrown in the editor, sometimes preventing launch
  10. Notice Persistent Thrust Extended will be able to operate in background when Kerbalsim is installed
  11. Version 1.7.0 for Kerbal Space Program 1.8.1 - 1.10.0 Released on 2020-07-15 Compatible with KSP 1.8.1 - 1.10 Added offscreen background persistent thrust processing for basic autopilot modes (requires Kerbalsim) Added configuration Persistent Thrust through KSP setting menu
  12. Seems to me they are only called at startup, so we can ignore these messages, but I will remove them not to alarm people
  13. They work great in conjunction. In fact I would recommend you use them together for best results
  14. Version 1.6.4 for Kerbal Space Program 1.8.1 - 1.10 Released on 2020-07-13 Fixed issue where PersistentThrust would not initialize on existing vessels created before PersistentThrust was installed, causing exception spam
  15. Its ok, not serious, as it should still work (I think). But apperently the onload is called with null value. not sure why or if this is normal. Edit: apperently not, I will fix it
  16. Version 1.6.3 for Kerbal Space Program 1.8.1 - 1.10 Released on 2020-07-12 Fixed issue with RO installed where thrust would drop after exiting timewarp
  17. Version 1.6.2 for Kerbal Space Program 1.8.1 - 1.10.0 Released on 2020-07-12 Compatible with KSP 1.8.1 - 1.10 Added support for GTIndustries MultMode
  18. @Warezcrawler Notice Is now also compatible with GTI MultiModeEngineFX:
  19. Notice that only the Over Drive mode in the GTI-2020 "Icicle" Multi Electric Propulsion System produces any exhaust effects (with mokeScreen installed) currently. I guess something got broken in the config
