  1. I have a bunch of broken SSTO's now. All these no longer work, the strength of parts seems to have been nerfed also, a lot of my craft are self destructing when pitching.
  2. Ahhh not cool its broken again..... i just finished it..... come on..... Thanks 1.0.3 back to the drawing boards lol. The new jet exhausts look awesome though.

Here are all of my replicas for 1.0.2 so far (all 100% stock) McDonnell Douglas F4 Phantom II (Earlier cockpit design in video) Description: This F4 Phantom is capable of supersonic speeds (up to and over 1000m/s) as well as having 4 working stock missiles which are controllable if you want to switch to them for a guided attack and 54 bombs in its bomb bay which fire 6 at a time, the plane is also flyable without using SAS control, what more could you ask for when trying to blow something up? (Disclaimer: bombs may only scratch buildings, warranty void if launched) Flight instructions On launch hit the SAS, throttle up to 100% and let it take off by itself, once in the air have fun! Action groups: 1: Toggle engines 2: Toggle "after burners" 3: Toggle bay doors Space bar order: Missiles fire first one at a time followed by bombs 6 at a time. You are probably right, My SSTO's top out at around 5000m/s in orbit, could probably get a fair bit more with less thrust (less mass and so on) Just sayin rune, enough thrust and you can break the mach barrier below 10km, Heck with enough thrust and you can get into space without rocket assistance

  9. The one graphic setting i cant seem to change is the exhaust smoke and it is where literally 90% of my lag comes from, so what do i need to delete from my game file to remove the exhaust smoke and take off smoke? I mean as cool as things like this look my PC just cant handle it.
  10. Idk my high twr craft seem to out perform my low twr craft constantly, Cronus is a good example of that, i was unable to get 80 tons into orbit without a TWR of 1.8:1, Maybe its just the way i build things... im terrible at being conservative.

Hmm how did you manage to get into orbit with so few engines? im already at nearly double your crafts mass trying to make a similar design and to get it into orbit im using 10 rapiers and 20 turbo jets, admitted its TWR is over 2:1, ill try lowering the twr and see how it goes i guess. Your a legend OP, i did not even think of building a craft like this before you did.
  12. Tbh i still prefer 0.90 and white lightning mk5, its under 200 parts and goes to the mun then minmus then comes back to kerbin. Could simply make more complex craft with far less parts in the older versions
  13. Have not posted a craft in here for a while and i cant think of something i have made that i am happier with than this so here goes. White Lightning mk11 Description: White lightning is a crew rescue SSTO capable of 2.5 million+km circular orbits around Kerbin while being extremely easy to fly, This plane is completely un-stallable in low altitude flight and has more than enough stability/control in the upper atmosphere to maneuver at over 900m/s reliably. Action groups: 1: Toggle turbo jets 2: Toggle Rapiers 3: Toggle Rapier engine mode 4: Toggle Nuke engines 5: Toggle solar arrays Flight instructions: On launch pitch up to +70 degrees until 5km, at 5km start to bring the pitch down to +10 degree until you reach 10-12km altitude and 900+m/s, once at 900+m/s bring the pitch back up to between 25-35 degree and continue on this pitch until orbit. Once at 22 kilometers hit action group 3 to toggle the Rapier engine mode (do not engage nerv engines yet.) None, i took the aero spikes out of the cronus engines and added the 2 nukes, still managed to keep it so it never dips below positive thrust on its way to orbit, the twr is just right so that you dont need the aero spikes at 20km, the biggest bonus is you do not need to use the nukes until you are in space so they are always running efficiently, oh and the nukes can burn for 16 minutes without over heating (they would burn longer but thats when you run out of fuel)

  20. I think i have the right fuel mix finally... to be tested.. If people have ever wondered why but never actually had a good look for the reason, this is why my craft normally weigh over 100 tons, This is also the reason why a lot of my craft burn their fuel evenly from all the fuel tanks available. (8985 liquid fuel and 4675 Oxidizer in the craft all up with this new tank) i kinda feel like im cheating when i build things like this, admitted it is easily 10 times harder to build a craft like this and actually have them work than it is to build within the rules being conservative, heck this is up to 11 complete re builds for an example but still.... ah well at least i don't use the debug menu i guess.
