I know. And I forgot what I was talking about for a second, so you can blame me there. 7. In the case of two or more posts from two or more different people being posted at the same time(give or take a minute) trying to subtract/add to the same number simultaneously , the post that appears last on the thread counts toward the change in the current number (this does not allow override over winning posts). This is to avoid needless confusion and people can simply read the last post to continue the game. You also cannot spam posts in an attempt to override another person's change during the 1 minute window, only your earliest post will count in that situation. So don't spam. Special clause for rule 7: Rule 7 cannot be invoked if in doing so it violates rule 2. So one person cannot override another person's post if they are holding the currently contested number. No, unless you do what JoseEduardo suggested. 1. You must add or subtract 1 (+1 or -1) for each post. 6. ... If someone intentionally jack up a ton of numbers at once and reach a winning number in just a few posts, that is way too obvious and won't count as a win....
-
EDIT- yes, that's how it should be.
-
Frybert's post is correct, and overrode yours due to skirmish rules.
-
That works, yes. You have to clearly state what the number is now, and the operation you did on it. You could do that with a math equation, a news report, or just adding a +/- at the end of the number.
-
No. @DuoDex?
-
Correct. Last valid number is SpaceplaneAddict's +13. Play on!
-
Valid revert is valid. Last valid post is 0111Narwahl's -30.
-
Yeah, like Gaarst said, you've got the equation wrong. Try E=mc^2 if your superscript is broken.

Wouldn't that be something? If they got stuck with a working spacecraft? And Kuzzter, I prefer Tegwar. It keeps things interesting.

2mF - KOS autopiloted return to launch site development project
Dman979 replied to Kamik423's topic in KSP1 Mission Reports
Oooh, just saw this! Nice! -
Like Jim said, it's a very pretty plane! I assume that over the years, Koos has gradually changed its meaning to something like this? That's less than half, OK in my book! How much speed did you lose?

Wouldn't the counter to that be to not let them make a mistake? i.e., both sides police the posts for mistakes? That way, when somebody makes a mistake, it's reverted to immediately, and you don't have to worry about them going back and reverting. I'm not saying that your suggestion is crazy, but we do need to consider all the alternatives before changing the rules.
-
See Deu's post above. It's been done before. But overall, only posts since the last win are valid.
-
It's not abuse if you're following the rules. It may be sneaky, but war is about tricks, too, right? Also, believe it or not, something like that has happened before. [OLDMAN] When I was a player with the positives, Deu was constantly reverting when we got close to 100. Like EVERY FREAKING TIME! Eventually, some players got tired of it and left. But I noticed a pattern- he could only revert to posts that were invalid. I looked at the OP, and it said that "Posts may be reverted to at any time." Huh, I said, I bet I could stop this from happening by reverting as soon as there's an invalid post! I did that, and Deu couldn't revert anymore. Then I ended up using that trick against the other team. [/OLDMAN] TL;DR revert as soon after an invalid post as you feel necessary. We try to keep our rulings as small as possible, in order to minimize disruption to the game. If a player spots a post which they feel is invalid, we only judge that post and the ones after it. If anyone has more questions about the rules or invalid posts, please feel free to PM the GM team- Me, @JoseEduardo, and @Deutherius.
-
Because no one brought it up. Our job isn't to go back and make sure that everyone is following the rules at all times, we adjudicate disputes over the rules. The rules always get priority.
-
The rules are here to be followed. As I mentioned above, the easiest way to prevent this from happening is not to ignore it. I'm sorry that you're upset, but we have to be fair to both teams here. Not allowing reverts in a specific case when they've been allowed in the past would be surrendering our impartiality.
-
The simplest way to avoid this is to not let them slip away in the first place.
-
As a matter of fact, you should point that out, because it's very significant. Like I mentioned before, posts that violate the rules may be reverted to at any time before +/- 100. The last valid number is @0111narwhalz's -61. You may continue from there. @Deddly, the post was nulled. Since it was invalid, everything after it was invalid, too, leaving the post before it as LVP.

Could you add ManeTI to the Squad staff? I forgot what his name was, and I'm sure others will, too.

A reminder to take our face out of our screens occasionally.
Dman979 replied to Talavar's topic in The Lounge
Two things. First: "Lindy Child Kidnapped!" is a pretty sensational headline, but it was true. Who would have believed that the son of one of the most famous people in America would be kidnapped? But it happened. Second: I like borscht. With sour cream. On a cold winter night, it's great. -
Some ideas for you.
Dman979 replied to Seturian's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
Oh, you mean for the entire section to move? I'm not sure if KSP's aerodynamics are good enough to model a change in chord and camber. In the SPH/VAB, you can press Shift+WASDQE to change the orientation by 5 degrees. -
I think it's interesting how may mods Kuzzter uses now. In D,OB! he was committed to staying away from mods. At the end of E:O0, he was talking about installing one or two. How many do you have now?

No.... Has a mod posted and unlocked it? No. It's still locked.
