Congratulations, @Starhawk! It was fairly obvious for a long time that they'd press-gang you into becoming a mod. You're one of the best members of the community that I know, and I'm not saying that to be nice. You're mature, helpful, omnipresent, and kind. If there was one person I would have recommended to be a mod, it is you. Go forth, and do great things.

Locked tighter than my parents' wallets during Christmas.

I take some offense to this... Not really. Want cheap natural gas for your powerplants? Beans.
-
No. @sal_vager?
-
No, all of the posts have been valid until yours.

My first Mun rocket had LFO engines on the bottom of the SRBs. It wasn't just overdesigned, it was overdesigned badly. Don't worry, you'll get better.

Well, he hasn't gone there yet, so you tell me. I think there will be a Final Battle near Laythe or Jool. @Kuzzter, could we get some gratuitous screenshots of the Laythe plane, please?

Oh, OK. I get that reference.
-
Well, yeah. But is there a reason the team is adverse to making announcements?
-
Could you start doing that, please? It's nice to know who is on the Mod team. Even a post in this subforum would work. Besides, I need to know when to order the celebratory cakes.

Dman979 replied to Endersmens's topic in Kerbal Network
Well, I guess it's time for me to get this thing back on topic. I'd like to congratulate @Frybert on his membership to the Rep Grand Group! I really hope that he decides to stop being behind me now.- 929 replies

See if you can find the Badlands! But if somebody else has a suggestion, do that instead. I got to chose the last one. Which reminds me, if you fly over to Control Island you might see something there.

You've gotta be kidding me. It means that they're setting up a base at the Mohole to play golf. I can see it now- Kerbfleet's Clubbing Adventure.

And I call dead author. It's certainly an idea. Not the idea I had in mind, but it's not wrong, yet. Absolutely not. This part is very wrong. And welcome aboard!

And I am right. We're going to the Kraken, or at least where it's located. It may or may not have landed, and it may or may not be alive, because of some... pointy rocket-propelled sticks fired at it. Bop goes the Kraken! (Sung to the tune of Pop goes the Weasel) All around each moon of Jool Suspense just isn't lack'n I want an Odyssey ending that's cool Bop goes the Kraken! We're running out of ore in this spot The ISRU is frackin' All the engineers' nerves are quite shot Bop goes the Kraken! Jeb and Kenlie and Nimzo and Val Their cooking skills are lack'n' In a contrast quite sharp with Clauselle Bop goes the Kraken! I don't want to wait very long Kuzzter the next page is make'n' And we've reached the end of this song Bop goes the Kraken! I know I reached a little on a few of the rhymes, but you know how many words actually rhyme with "kraken?" None!

Scientifically? They're weird. I wonder if (when?) we discover alien life, how we'll classify it? Plants, Bacteria, Protists, Fungi, Animals, Aliens? Or would they go under of of the 5 categories becuase they share some characteristics? And what would that say about us?

Seeking information on israel's space program.

Oh, I have one more thing- pick your battles. Prioritize your agenda in terms of what's most important, and be ready to compromise or even give up on the less important ones in order to make sure the most important things pass. -

On the topic of retrograde orbits, their launch system is an all-SRB design. They have to launch retrograde, because politics, just like Russia has to launch slightly north from Baikonor, so they don't spook China, and India has to do a dogleg when they fly south, so they don't fly over Sri Lanka. On the topic of making deals- I went to a thing called Boys State. It was a model state government, and I was a state senator. We had to pass laws, etc, to make the state run. You will feel slimy after most of the deals you make. That's normal, and that's OK. This may even involve voting for things you find morally reprehensible. Just keep in mind that it's a small bad for a lot of good- don't be an idealist. Keep your cards close to your chest, and don't confuse friends with allies. And don't confuse allies with people who have similar interests. Don't make people hate you quickly. Be nice, and make lots of friends, at least early on. Take people for dinner, or something like that. Get them to like you. When you're proposing a deal, don't make your first offer your final offer. On that note, be willing to walk away from something. And remember- no nation has friends, only interests.
