  1. It was hard. I couldn't have done it as a Senior. At the beginning, I didn't know what to do. I felt thrust into a position with little experience. But I decided to pretend I knew what I was doing so everyone would trust me to do the job. And lo and behold, pretending to lead is a very good way to learn how to lead. I grew into the job, so at the end I felt confident in my abilities and I learned about what my limits are. A quick hint- you don't have to do everything yourself. Know when someone else can do it better, and trust them to do the job. And know your own limits.
  2. That's OK. When I was SPL, I had some experience with a bunch of boys who didn't want to be there. It made their experience bad, and it brought the rest of the troop down, too. IMO, the BSA is only for kids that want to be in it.
  3. So you're telling me that there's no peanut butter involved at all?
  4. I think that there are young kids playing here. I know eight-year-olds who play, so it doesn't seem unreasonable to me that some of them might be here. Also, I learned curse words in 4-5 grade, but I never really used them until I was 14 or so. But this is tangential from the OP.
  5. I'm pretty sure that RIC was telling the truth there. I've never know him to be sarcastic about anything at all.
  6. I'm gonna direct you to the Ask the Moderators Questions About the Forums thread, in the Kerbal Network subforum. Specifically, In @monstah's case;
  7. If I understand this post correctly, this will be the stock one SoonTM.
  8. Oh, dang, is that the theme from Bridge on the River Kwai? Great video.
  9. @Sgt Doomball I think Red Iron Crown said it best: Based on the number of posts you have. Looks like you're well on your way to Rocketry Enthusiast!
  10. I agree that we have no need for profanity on these forums; after all, KSP is played by many children. But I think you might want to think about the edge cases here, too. When I was young, ass was one of my favorite words because I knew it was dirty, but I could say it and mean something different. Donkeys were a frequent topic of discussion in 3rd grade. Similarly, there were some favorite bird species, too. But when you get the forum software to replace all the versions of these words, you get instances when it goes too far. The software isn't able to find the context you say something in, and will even censor words that have profanity as a segment IIRC. When I am talking about the glass windows on the Lunar Module, I don't want to end up saying "The LM had gdonkey windows to see the landing site."
  11. It's threads like this that remind me why I need to visit this subforum more often. Keep up the good work!

  14. known for asking questions in the ATMQAtF thread.
  15. Funny you chose a Clancy video. I was also thinking of a Clancy scene from Red Storm Rising, where the helicopters and ships split apart.
  16. Newton's laws strike again! Nothing like pushing away from each other to leave a giant hole for missiles to pass through. Also, it looks like just about everybody except for Kenlie, Bill, and Jeb are in the Intrepid. ETA: Shouldn't that be an *Un-click!* instead of a *Click*?
  17. I don't know about that, but I do know that I crashed a thread by pasting my KSP log into it. Would not recoemend. Private stuff.
  18. Then make it really big and strong. fast + nimble + niche < fast + average strength + powerful < slow + strong + powerful < fast + nimble + niche..... Or, destroyer < cruiser < battleship < destroyer On topic: I'm playing a lot of Squad recently, and some Ultimate General: Civil War.
  19. Hello, @Hewlett, and welcome aboard! Just curious, do you know anyone named Packard? Jokes aside, I'm glad you're here. If you have any other questions, the Gameplay Help and Tutorials subforum is the place to go.
