Starship Flight Controls... U-double stick vs Joystick
kerbiloid replied to Spacescifi's topic in Science & Spaceflight
Keyboard and mouse. That's absolutely enough for air- and spaceflights. And a whip to make the crew work better and paddle quicker. -
If SS/SH landing accuracy is as good as they hope, screw the tower. Just land the second stage on top of the landed first one and lock. Keep doing this with more stages. Then you can use SSTO, TSTO, TSTO, FSTO, FSTO, SSTO, SSTO, ESTO, NSTO, TSTO, ESTO, TSTO, TSTO, etc. same easy as SSTO.

Delta-V and docking in the windy stratosphere to the wiggling lightweight balloon make this enterprise... insanely hard and risky. Besides the fact that the chemical reactions (and thus equilibrium) at 20°C and 1 atm are rather different from 480°C and 90 atm. So, to the moment of delivery, the samples will be not much similar to the stones on surface. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vega_program

A flash dance in the sky, when Kalina The Laser is occasionally highlighting Skylink sats, while attempting to illuminate Keyhole The Spy. -

For Questions That Don't Merit Their Own Thread
kerbiloid replied to Skyler4856's topic in Science & Spaceflight
Let's recall that "insolation" is an agricultural term. And nobody cares what is the source of light, while the plowland or the forest is inSOLated properly. Astronomy operates with "magnitude" and "brightness". (Sun has them, too. -26.7). -

inLP145-141ation, inWD1142-645ation... Humans call "sun" the bright round thing which gives light for harvest, and needs bloody sacrifices for that. The Sun exists in space, the "sun" in head, so the Proximians will call Proxima just "sun". P.S. Btw, Kerbals call their star "Sun", so "insolation", rather than "inkerbolation" Every time when Pluto crosses Illinois, it officially becomes a planet. For several minutes per day. It's amusing... Such small Illinois, such far Pluto. And the Earth rules still work at that distance... -

1/12 of footworm. How do they know the Tyrannosaurus Rex political beliefs to call them so? -
Combining the schoolhood and the pre-schoolhood as "childhood" is a cheating.

Anything out there close to as decent as The Expanse (is/was)?

Brown Sharon Hall Broderick Johnson Andrew Kosove Laura Lancaster Daniel Abraham Ty Franck Dan Nowak Ben Roberts Executive producers Ronald D. Moore Matt Wolpert Ben Nedivi Maril Davis Seth Gordon Naren Shankar This man was definitely suspecting something... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Naren_Shankar .... either a crossover of Universes, or the next series promo action. P.S. "Jamestown" sounds very original for a first American base. They hadn't opted to name it Roanoke. -
Hi, Venus. Bye, Venus. P.S. The end of the video (with the green screen) is a NASA R&D documentary video. Probably.

Idk about Minmus, but that's exactly how the lunar ice was created.

The human translator was cheating. When I watched it in schoolhood, it was called "Hyperbola 22", while now I see it's "Double Triangle 22".

Banned for inaaccuracy. Is the "Saturday night" the night before or after Saturday? Unless it's travolted.

Calling yourself "22", like if you are a spaceship, is a cheating.

Banned for Discontramat.
