Read the Article here. I must admit this is most incredible to me and thanks again to @SQUAD for creating one of the most impressive, immersive, intriguing and educative pieces of software i am aware of. AAAAHHHHH!!!
-

I am still in the process of digging trough the mandatory info i must give to participate in the workshop... quite complicated when you live outside the U.S.

Hi @Dexter_D, glad to have a new review on the Mission, i played it a few weeks ago myself and i couldn`t believe i made this thing myself... the trip to the Skiaparellicrater is a truly brutal challenge on wheels, i barely made it this time with just some fuel left... i must admit it can get scary...

Call Roskosmos and show them your booster. It is simply glorious and how come this isn`t allready reality? All the recent tail-suicide-burn-reusable-whatnots look cool and work but this far more reasonable in my opinion. Again, excellent. Crazy and excellent. Put gears on and ...

Excessive load times.
Mikki replied to GarrisonChisholm's topic in KSP1 Technical Support (PC, modded installs)
No worrys, but you might remember me by mistake, i played lots with Kerbalism but never exceeded more than 25 mods and rarerly had more than 20 flights on rails or surface... but i can confirm that loadtimes increase parallel to their content, but i never experienced loadtimes longer than say -30 seconds in modded installs after hitting the specific load game button on the second loadscreen. Reading your post i guess the issue relates to hitting critical amounts of ram and generaly benchmarking KSPs limits by amounts of active flights... I have personally returned to pure Stock, even without Kerbal Engineer Redux... -
Hi there, thanks for your feedback, i just realised i forgot to fork the last "recover Bob" node... New version is coming in a few hours! Edit: I just checked the issue and the final checks work as intended, no change made... Don`t know what`s causing mentioned behaviour... but i am investigating. I found that some values tend to flip back while editing distance checks, so Edit 2: I changed the last sequence, placed a flag aside the Dessert runway to make sure the last distance check works properly. New Version is 2.4!

I have no courage to play career...
Mikki replied to Nivee~'s topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
Welcome to the KSP forums! I can tell from observation through the past years that only a small fraction of the posts contain actual careerplay content, i started two careers of which the second went successfull in terms of completing the science tree and not going into bankruptcy on normal difficulty. Posting Sandbox/ Science experience is absolutly common and was never an issue of any kind KSP career is quite timeconsuming but teaches alot about econimcs in various aspects, but challenging and most funny when things work out as intended. -

Same here, ERROR 1006 from Cloudflare services. I`ve read by this occasion their privacy policys and was not much amused. I live in europa and this kind of business model isn`t that good at all, but it doesn`t bother me much since i`m not a "consumption damaged individual". What gives, a poor statement from people who run such enterprises, reminds me on facebook an their bizarre deal with Cambridge Analytics, a company that went straight into bankruptcy and vanished immediatly weeks after the discovery of the biggest internetscandal during the past decade. The obvious greed behind these policys and the well disguised embedded need to get the users agreement to enable utter tracking (and obviously selling, which is surely done in any imaginable manner contrary to policy statements, see facebook) of browsing habbits, interests and other private information should be banned aswell. I give Cloudflare 12 months in europa with that policy, i know the situation good enough. I really don`t want to accuse any people working at/for/along with Cloudflare and their associates in any country but this business concept isn`t anymore appreciated in europa, our governments are well aware of the far reaching issues such methods pose to the society, i.e. corruption, tax-evasion, market distortion, and more. KSS KERBIN SPACE STATION Stock KSP 1.4/ MH 1.2 no mods required A compilation of short missions from and to the KERBIN SPACE STATION, a series of kerbalised adventures in Kerbin low orbit. Execute various tasks like launching Koyuz TMK, the Space Shuttle and deorbiting them back to the Dessert launchsite! Experience missionaborts, accidents and precision rendezvouz, guided ascends, and ground recovery procedures! Vessels crafted with detailed functions and balanced handling, if you ever struggled with building a working Space Shuttle in KSP, look here how the orignal works and follow the instructions how to perform a perfect Shuttle launch guided by Wernher von Kerman. The KSS orbits Kerbin at around 75km and roughly 45° inclination, launch ahead the station because catching up from lower orbit to rendezvouz takes alot more time than from above. I hope some of you enjoy this set of missions with a approximate unaccelerated ingame time between a half to one hour, or more if you take it slow. Scoring system starts at dedicated events, no hurry to achieve the missiongoals. KSS - Missions: - Decouple the Koyuz transporter from the KSS and deorbit to the Dessert Launchsite, recover the crew by truck or airplane, and bring Peggy Kerman to the Medic Center located aside the Airfield due to severe snack deprivation. Earn a medal for timely arrival at the Medic Center... DropBox download: Crewrotation Part 1 (Version 1.1) - Launch the Koyuz TMK and dock to the KSS. Adjust your heading to match the ascend trajectory marker properly, or see what happens if something goes wrong... DropBox download: Crewrotation Part 2 - Launch with the Space Shuttle to the KSS and dock to the front docking port. Sounds easy, and it is, if you follow Wernhers instructions . Earn a medal for a timely rendezvouz and docking maneuver... DropBox download: Shuttle launch and docking (Version 1.1) - Deorbit the Space Shuttle, aim for a nice landing at the Dessert Airfield and enjoy the pleasure of gliding concrete flowercrates! Consider yourself a true KSP Pilot if you can hit the runway and stop the Shuttle with the brakechutes... DropBox download: Shuttle deorbit and landing (Version 1.2) Screenshot gallery

Mikki replied to Gordon Dry's topic in Kerbal Network
I just had to confirm a new post and one edit in my own thread, and i am pretty sure my system is virus free, i run a quite expensive private internetsecurity software i won`t name here specifically but i hope it is not the culprit. The companys name begins with K . Edit: No captcha now while posting this. Edit 2: No captcha while editing this, seems gone Edit 3: I just made a complete scan of my system, no threats detected, no rootkits nor other malware living on my SSD. Edit 5: Captcha request is back, clicking fast the "i am no bot" button works but the issue is annoying somehow. -
Hi @Dexter_D, thanks for reviewing my mission, your picture shows 2.0, i`d stick with 2.3 which doesn`t contain any accuracy tests anymore, i have changed the score based on measure distance, and it works properly (In the spoiler above).
-
Hi @Dexter_D Might be a corrupted file on your side now, it looks like this in the editor... And max score in 2.3 is 130, gives gold... just checked twice.
-
I was tinkering with the missionbuilder and tested how it would be to dock a interplanetary vessel to a fuelstation. Nothing unusual in KSP. Or is it? And by docking i mean docking: Did anyone else manage to do this?
-
Okay, the eventnodecheck... did you recover the DreamChaser? Bob must be in it while doing so.
-
No way to fix it by editing, i just revised two times the version and have now discarded accuracy checks in favor of measuring distance which does work 100% failsafe as long you reach the designated minimal landingradius... Omg the accuracy check is somewhat absolutly crazy, i think its not working as intended or i`m plain stupid. I have a new version, 2.3 (Fully tested)
-
Hi all, @MrUnderhill, @PeskyPony and @benni burgerman, I just checked the issue and again it seems the lesser/greater values swapped. I fixed and tested it. I also removed the old samplereturnvessel in case someone accidently launches it. Really sorry for the unconvenience and hope you download 2.1 (In the OP now, NEW 2.2!)... NEWEST 2.3! Look:
-
Damn... Looking again into that now, thank you for pointing at this! The probe must be dropped at least 12km from the hab or considered failed... I tested this two dozen times, with appropriate messages and scores, investigating

Import craft.file from sandbox not possible? (Solved)
Mikki replied to Mikki's topic in Making History Support
Okay, i see now what i have missed while trying it, will check again and follow your instruction. I remember that i only checked directly the content of the VAB/SPH of a target mission if the copied crafts appeared, thank you for clearing this up! @Hi @JPLRepo, i followed your instruction and it works perfectly the way you mentioned, its much more convenient to tinker with a specific vessel in sandbox and then import it to the Missionbuilder, great feature! I missed the "Missions" folder in KSP main folder and first pasted it into the "saved" one... I really don`t wan`t to replicate things like that perfectly working ones again just to discover something isn`t exactly that well like the original in sandbox ... Thanks again for answering my issue. -
So i discovered when launching a Soyuz like spacecraft and coasting it trough the uppermost atmolayers the color changes allready, no hot plasma required to make it appear like the real thing, really cool done by SQUAD... I could lift the terraindetail to 100%...
-
Thank you for the feedback, as mentioned before, i have decreased the difficulty and ditched the Samplereturn, only the probedrop on Duna remained of it... it was truely difficult, even for myself... It wouldn`t be the reference of the cinematic without the 60km roverpart, but hey, in the film its like a few hundred miles... and for the isolation... this was mandatory... You might dl 2.0, it has slightly changed and no more hickups in the mission...

Yeah i know, i`m in absolute control of my OCD.
