  1. Yes at the time (1.8.4? or 1.8.3?) it was repeatable. If I chose continue, the "Go to Changes" tab was greyed out, if I chose cancel CKAN crashed. Now with 1.10, if I select CTT, the line turns red and I see a tool tip saying it conflicts with "OpenTree" mod and that CTT requested the not comparable status, (So I assume that was the actually cause before for the error message. as I have had OpenTree installed then too. {which is strange as I thought they WERE compatable, must be something recient)
  2. I have had several missions where I need to do a scan/survey/etc for a celestrial body, and I sent a part into orbit to do it, and it turned out to be the wrong one. (Latest example was do a Biome Scan I sent a M700, nope it wanted a Multispectral scanner, previously I needed to do send a Resource Survey scanner, I sent up a couple different ones cause I was not sure which it wanted, nope turned out it wanted the M700.) All this to say, can the contracts requirements also list the part it wants on the ship/sat to complete the mission? (Similar to the way all the part test contracts list the tested part in the contract requirements)
  3. Problem found between the Seat and the Keyboard..... I am using the "Orbital Survey Plus" mod, which modifies the M700 to do Biome overlay maps. (among other things) So when I got the missions I assumed it wanted the M700, Because the contract does not specify a part for the spacecraft. (That's the 3rd time I have had a mission wasted because I sent the wrong part into orbit because the contract did not specify which part it wanted, but DID want a specific part to complete the mission.) As it turns out the Kerbin Sat does have DMagics Multispectal Imaging platform on it and its running, and the Mun Sat does not have one. So mystery solved. [On the other hand nothing in the contract indicated which part was needed, not does the part indicate it can used for the Biome Scan Contract] Thanks for your assistance and pointers to aid my figuring out the problem.
  4. Hmm you said.... Can this be changed so that ONLY when I press the "Keep Data" button does it get stored? That way I don't need to review data if I decide if I want to reset it or transmit it. IF my ship is on a long journey with lots of science on-board. (I had a mission recently where there were 50+ reports on-board) Having to go through that list just to look for an experiment I want to dump or transmit is going to become annoying fast.
  5. I will have to fire up KSP and check tomorrow, (very late right now) But the M700 wont even operate unless its in a polar orbit. (Pretty sure my inclination is 85-89 degrees) and for the Mun the operating altitude is 25-1000km. I will try to do a little more checking with ScanSat and see what its reporting, and move this to the ScanSatLite Thread, Or CC.
  6. One thing I wish, that you could tell what is the source of a contract. (Stock, Field Research, MC2, ScanStat, etc...) I have 2 contracts right now for "Do a Biome scan of XXXX" (using the M700? the contract does not specify a part) One is for the Mun and one for Kerbin. I Think they are part of CP:Field Research? Here is the problem: The Kerbin contract is working correctly. Its at 50% and going up, but the Mun Contract is stuck at 1% and I dont know why. its orbit is correct (30x95km) and it has batts and solar panels so it has plenty of power. and it already did the Biome experiment. And Ideas how I can figure out why its not working? [EDIT:] I tried playing around with the CC Debug screen, It looks like is shows the sources of the contracts (Which pack generates them) it looks like Biome Scan is part of ScanSatLite. Unfortunately I don't understand much of what on the screen so still don't know why the Mun's contract is not progressing.
  7. Strange error.... I was adding mods to my KSP 1.0.4 game, and I selected Community Tech Tree. (All I did was click the button TELLING CKAN that I wanted to add this mod.) It immediately game me an error message. It looks to my untrained eye like it has a hidden dependency on GoodSpeed mod. (But I thought CTT had no dependencies except for ModManager) ************** Exception Text ************** CKAN.ModuleNotFoundKraken: Cannot install Goodspeed, module not available at 8. Started a game and used the Kerbal Alarm Clock to plan transfer window alarms. Ok, but I keep getting contracts poping up "You should go explore Duna", or "Go get science from Eve", or "Start a base on Ike"..... The problem is according to the transfer window alarms, its 8 months till my Duna window, and 15 months until Eve's. I have a Jule window before any of the other planets. Now if every game starts with random locations for the planets, maybe next time I start I will look for better xfer window. But if they are all the same, then I can safely just keep canceling these contracts to go places I cant even launch to for many many months and not worry about it. At first these contracts made me keep looking at my xfer windows 3 or 4 seperate times to be sure I had done it right. Cause I could not figure out why it kept giving them to me. (So far I have only done a unmanned flyby and orbit of the mun.) Thanks BlackHat
  9. Question, in the Options menu, "Crewed Vessel Settings" portion, what is the purpose of the option "Track Surface Sample in Vessel"
  10. Hmm, (I am not yet using CTT so dont know for sure) would it be possible for the empty nodes to have a "note or tooltip or info box" of what mods will normally have parts in it? That way people would know which mods they are missing out on.
  11. Oh, BTW, my ATM problem is with 1.0.2. I will be sticking with it for another week or two, until more mods are updated to 1.0.4
  12. Forever I have had little black bars beside all the contracts in the window. Never gave it much thought or worried about it... Today I noticed them and got annoyed and wonder why they were there. after checking the thread I realized that the bars were where the Reputation stars were supposed to be shown. ATM strikes again probably. Made a config for it and it did not work. But I dont know what I am doing with the ATM configs and will play around with it a little more.
  13. Hmm a Couple things.... Are your Science parts (Ionization Chamber, and Mass Spectrometry Tube) supposed to be in Utilities? in the VAB and SPH? (THey used to be in Science but recently got moved I think) I have a contract that called for linking up with a ground station from KSO. Ok, The problem is I am supposed to have a "Resource Survey Scanner" on the satellite....... Ok, I put a recourse scanner on the satellite, but the contract is complete except that line..... What resource survey scanner is it looking for? EDIT: Ok I put every scanner and resource finder on a test ship and checked... Eliminating them until I found that (At least at my tech level) that it wants the M700 Survey Scanner. I dont know if further up the tech tree there are other parts that will satisfy the requirements.
  14. Recently noticed that the "L" in my name was capitalized. Current: BLackHat Correct: BlackHat Can you please make this change.
  15. Hmm I have had a few stages that stayed in suborbital orbits and never landed. (I had to switch to them and follow them down to a landing) However they DID have high PEs. (50K+ if I recall correctly) So do I need to get the PEs below 23Km to cause Stage Recovery to "Recover" them?
  16. I had the same thing happen. After the download was complete I got the "GC blocked it" message. I just went to the Downloads page and told it "Yes I really DO want it..." and it popped up another warning, but did un-hide it to my downloads folder.
  17. Watched a lot of Youtube videos, and I recall seeing one of them where I "Thought" KER was showing CPA distance in the Rendezvous window. (As opposed to just current distance) But looking through the settings I could not find it. Was I seeing something from an older version that has been dropped? or Another mod? (Maybe MechJab)
  18. Are you using a station contracts mod, or just stock contracts.... Read the contract carefully, If it says build a new station, I suspect you will need to build a new station. If it just says build a station, then you can probably just expand your current station to house more Kerbals.
  19. They are intended to be used on very hot engines (Nukes for instance) or power generators (Space station or Moon Base power supplies) or Converter plants that convert the minerals on your Moon bases to Fuel/Oxy/water/food, etc. These types of things tend to run for very long times and get very hot. So the raidators would be used to let them bleed off heat into space, or the atmosphere. They would NOT work for reentry heating as far as I know, as I believe they are light and delecate like solar panels and would quickly break off if deployed during reentry.
  20. Might want to include a note in the CKAN description that KSS and USS are incompatible. (Unless you have already done something in the dependencies so CKAN will know they are incompatible)
  21. If they just want a Suborbital flight, getting AP above 70k with the PE below 70K should do it. In the game I am playing (With Tourism Contract pack) they want to be Suborbital above a specific point. (Typically the south pole) IF you also have a way point in your contract, they want to be above 70k AT the way point, with the PE below 70K so your suborbital.
  22. Loved it also.... BUT, it seems a bit loud from the demo. Haven't tried it in game yet, but would it be possible to lower the volume of this sound by 1/3rd or 1/2? Or also include a quieter version and the user can select between them?
  23. While using Nightingale's Contract Pack: Field Research, I noticed a problem. His Pack was giving me a contract to use an experiment from the "Solar Science" Mod in Kerbal Orbit. Bit that mod requires the two experiment it has to be conducted in Solar Orbit. Nightingale was apparently able to come up with a way for his mod to limit the experiments to only around the Sun for the contract pack, You might want to check with him to see if his methods will also work with Science Alert to prevent it from showing experiments that cant be completed cause the mod they come from only allows them to be completed around certain bodies.
