  1. Alrighty, Slight delay in the challenge, 1, my dog has sadly passed due to cancer;.; R.I.P Nina Lewis 2003-2015 A good Dog 2, When deleting debris from my satellite launch, i terminated my test module of the M.D.C and accidentally killed it's m ain crew, so i have to wait for them to re spawn. (Thank god for Missing crews re spawn option.) So, i will probably start my excursion this weekend, and btw, it has been improved so Kerbals can play poker in the observation deck. (I will be naming the mountain Ranges behind the KSC After my dog, the Nina Ranges)
  2. Thanks guy's! Thank you for the "how to screenshot" squiggsy! Thanks for the Info Gesch! I hope to see your Eve M.D.C 11of10! I am so glad i am now part of the forums! Now to serious business, where's Bill? *Crash* *Bang* *boom* ...Found him!
  3. Ok, first of all, my Laptop is finally fixed and updated! second, My entry vehicle is finally finished! It is called the M.D.C. (The Mobile Drilling Center) This thing has enough room for 7 kerbals on the inside, and 6 seats on the viewing deck! This beast has the ability to travel to Ore hotspots to collect ore to turn into fuel which will be converted into electricity! To power this thing, I have 4 Gigantor XL Solar panels, Also, this thing has A single Turbojet Engine for speeding up steep hills. (Another reason for the Ore-Fuel-Electricity Parts on this thing) This thing will circumnavigate by land, with the help of a few satellites locating it's next refuel spot! I still have to launch 2 more satellites, one for massive Ore Locations, and one for Locating small amounts of Ore. This thing will also have emergency Mark II Rovers just in case of system failure. (Thank you Hotaru for the wonderful Rover plans!) This thing is also gigantic, It takes 8 of the biggest types of wheels to support! Also, i am sort've a Noob right now, how do i take screenshots? Anyway, i Will be off by the end of today, and if not, then the weekend! Also, let me know if i am breaking any of the rules! I want to stay in the spirit of thios challenge! (1 more thing, I am not using any mods for this challenge, totally stock!)
  4. Fengist, i have changed the rules to allow watercraft mods such as yours. I can't wait to see your progress with that thing! (BTW, I hope you can shoot for the Magellan Adventure Category... I bet you could do it in a breeze!)(I mean, your men survived Eves Oceans/gravity/broken parts/ a complete destruction of a vehicle, I am pretty sure this will be a breeze to them!)
  5. Hello fellow Kerbals! This Challenge was inspired by the circumnavigation challenges by fengist, it has you try and circumnavigate Kerbin By only water! Here are the Rules: 1. Seacraft parts allowed (Like Fengists Ship down there) 2. The Only other Mods allowed are Mechjeb and Karbonite. (For the Drills and stuff...) (And yes, i know they are in the vanilla game, but drills can be fun to use as propellers!)(Just like Fengist did on Eve with the poor Walkabout...) (link here for the story...http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/105372-Eve-A-ground-based-circumnavigation-13-m-s?highlight=kerbin+circumnavigation ) 3.The only time you are allowed on land is your PLANNED Route over the large continental land wall and refueling. 4. A minimum of 3 Kerbals must be on board (They do get awful Lonely out there...) 5. This thing can be rocket powered, but no getting airborne! (You will be disqualified if you fly for more than 1000 meters besides launching) 6. Put Flags down for the Legs of your Adventure! (Plus quick saves, you never know if the kraken is feeling feisty...) 7. Screen shots! I need them to qualify you for this challenge!(Videos are good too...) 8. Bonus points for going through the great Eastern Crater! (The big Crater in the ocean/coast, You must plant a flag on the middle Island to get this bonus.) 9. Last, but not least, is that your craft must be refilled with fuel by fuel drops only! (This will make it more interesting...) (The fuel drop can be dropped from space or atmosphere, whatever suits you!) I will be working on a medal for this challenge soon, (Fengist will have a medal for me as soon as some qualifying participants are listed...) There are 3 category's in this challenge: Magellan Expedition Meet all the requirements, nothing else, sort of a "You Barely passed!" sort of thing. Magellan Voyage Meet the Requirements, and visit the Crater/Visited the KSC Islands, planting a flag on each of them. Magellan Adventure Meet the Requirements, do both things from the voyage category, and plant a flag on as many Islands/rivers as you can! (Give me the Number of Rivers/Islands Flagged, i will see if you qualify...) Alright then, lets do some adventuring! Magellan Expedition 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. Magellan Voyage 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. Magellan Adventure 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6 Edit: I have modified some of the rules to actually make this challenge possible! Please reply to this thread and report problems and voice your opinion... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Video games is bad for you?Thats what they said about rock n roll" - Shigeru Miyamoto I Think this guy pretty much summed up how all of us gamer's feel
  6. I am going to attempt this challenge! (Just as soon as the laptop with KSP on it gets all the viruses cleared out, stupid fake java updates...) I am currently experimenting with a giant rover/colony i call,(Drum-roll please), ... the Aeromax x-300 M.C.R(Mobile Colony Rover) This thing will be the latest attempt at it... all the other designs included: 1. A Giant Kerbodyne thruster for speed (This was very entertaining to watch, lets just say the hangar and the runway and the VAB and the launchpad all were destroyed in a hilarious explosion.) (And of course, jebs the only one to live, in the most fragile part in it...) 2. A malfunctioning crew ladder that was *this* close to the ground, but was still too high. (I did not know that Kerbals are pathetic jumpers...) 3. Monopropellant engines all across the back (Did not do well, it did break a wheel due to placement and speed caused by kerbodyne engine...) 4. a misplaced EAS command seat (Seriously! ) 5. Not enough of the biggest wheels in stock... (It was at least entertaining to watch it do flips and other things...) 6. not enough power even for the slightest hill. (It was pathetic...) This version will likely be the best out of its worthless ancestors... (I am also going for the most Kerbals brought on a circumnavigation of any body in the kerbol system! (I estimate about between 30 to 46 Kerbals, excluding the crew, i am still working on the cockpit.) Wish me luck! (Plus, hope my laptop recovers from its horrendous 27,000 Viruses!) (Bum Bum Bummmmmmmmmmmmm!) EDIT: This is on Kerbin, since my rockets are about as advanced as real life, but much worse. (I suck at getting things to orbit essentially, so i focus on planes and rovers...)
  7. That's a pretty cool Pygmy jet, looks like it handles well. is it ok if i use your design? I'm just gonna play with it, not publisize it.
  8. Man, all of these "products" look really well made! Since i am "adequate" with making space planes. May i Join Kerbodyne SSTO Division? (Also, this is my first interaction with these forums, so, Yay!)
