Sound!

Still needs a source of ignition, but the tiniest spark would do it of course. If you are carefull you can store this so called oxyhydrogen (stochiometric mix of H2 and O2) in a balloon or a bag for short periods of time, for example to demonstrate its potency to students or whatever. Quite a common classroom experiment back in my days.

Yes, please do. I live in Switzerland. I think we are looking at around 100 bucks for shipping (assuming you are in the states), which indeed would be hard to justify.
-
Before you bin it, send it to me seriously though, are we talking about the flight stick only or do you have a throttle unit to go along with it? Seeing that people try to sell used cheap joystick I dont get why you shouldnt be able to sell yours. I would probably take it if you offer a good price, but I am overseas and we are looking at quite a substantial shipping fee here.

Last time I checked you cant claw to a planet. Might have changed in the meantime though.

Stryker and Sidekick lunar VTOL craft
Dafni replied to Jett_Quasar's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
Nice craft. Will definitely try them out as soon as I find the time. Thanks for sharing. -
I see, thank you. Sounds very cool, and now that you mention it I remember reading about the AQ-10C simulation. I just never made the connection with DCS. Definitely something worth looking into later down the line, but for now the stick is only used for peaceful space exploration BTW, I got the stick set up in KSP now, didn't even use the TARGET software. It works very well and feels great, I think I can never go back to cheaper sticks again, and cant wait for my spot on the waiting list of the left hand conversion to fully complete my cockpit setup here. Thanks again

A million windows clogging the screen? Why? For MJ I have just 2 tiny windows on my screen, I just use it for the numbers. It is very very customizable. Never use the autopilot, still love the mod.

Bigger landing legs!
Dafni replied to Firemetal's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
He did one now, early in the RTF marathon stream. Glorious Neptune RTLS landing. -
I see, thank you. KSP does indeed have some sliders for deadzone and sensitivity (which is just the exponential value of the curve). I dont know what DCS is, sorry for my ignorance.
-
Exactly Well, what can I say, I went ahead and got a donor stick and got my name on the list for a left hand conversion kit Now for the waiting... was told should happen in 1Q 2017. Lets see.

@Xavven and @White Owl, what are the deadzone settings that you guys use for your Warthog sticks? Thanks in advance Daf

Bigger landing legs!
Dafni replied to Firemetal's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
Yes, I agree so much, we definitely need this. EJ style Kraken hinges are fine for medium sized rockets most of the times (but still cumbersome because of added part count) but for 3.75m boosters I have yet to come up with hinged legs that work reliably. A set of SpaceX style landing legs for all stock tank sizes (pretty much exactly what SpaceY has) would be so nice to have in stock. Really quite an obvious addition. Squad, you can keep the gridfins for now (as well as any other new fancy feature), but please please give us proper landing legs. -
STOCK Star Wars Rogue One U-Wing
Dafni replied to Jett_Quasar's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
Wow, nice one! And with an atmospheric AND an ssto version too!!! I was expecting a hack grav and invinite fuel hack craft.... and now this! Very very well done my friend, I tip my hat to you. The video was very good too, btw, great job there too. -
Thank you @sal_vager. I see, makes sense. I never knew what they call sensitivity is the actual exponential value of the curve. Interesting, and helpful to know. Another one for you, Sal, what would you change when you have a stick where the input indicator needle wont return to the dead center after you let the stick go? Assume the stick is brand new, literally, has only the tiniest of deadzones (undetectable by hand) and overall a very convincing build quality (Thrustmaster Warthog stick). Would you set the deadzone to almost zero? (i.e. would you go below the default value?) Thanks again for your time, I appreciate it

What an amazing contraption! Unfortunately the DL link seems broken for me

I think rather your gained experience will benefit you more than the full game itself. The tense moments of launches and landings etc will definitely become less nerve-racking with more practice and confidence. I was the same as you (minus the headaches), always tense and very focused playing this game, but now it even became a very relaxing thing to do. I still might get a bit tense in hairy situations when I play my main mission save with no reverts, but its nowhere near as bad as when I started out. Good luck and many rewarding and relaxing KSP moments
-
Could be. Sounds like the screen should be fine indeed. What about other games? Something that takes less concentration? Or something that takes even more? I know that is a tough one, I myself play only KSP these days and I suspect the same goes for you too. If the tension you get by focusing so hard is indeed the problem, there is a lot of hope for improvement of your situation. Force yourself to relax (I know its easier said than done), take short breaks, breath slow and deep for a moment, massage your own temples shoulders etc, consciously relax your jaw and facial muscles, or muscles in general, stuff like that. Do you have any other moments of this strong tension that cause headaches in your daily life? It is definitely a possibility. I hope you can find a way to improve your experience.
-
Hmm, this sounds kinda worrying. Do you suffer from headaches a lot? From watching TV? Does it happen with other games too? Or is this a specific problem with KSP? If it is solely with KSP, then your graphic settings might mess up your eyes, refresh-rates or what have you. If its from all games in general, you could try a better screen, maybe need glasses, or try to change the distance to the screen etc. Myself I need to restart the game after a few hours (like 2 or 3) but just to empty the RAM (or whatever a restart does to make the game run a bit smoother again) But other than that I could play all night long. With that being said, I used to get headaches from using a cheap screen in the past, or from being exposed to too much harsh light during the day etc. On my "headache-days" I use lightly amber tinted sunglasses now and it relieves a lot of the unpleasantness.

Add Proper Gamepad / Joystick Support
Dafni replied to ZooNamedGames's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
Thank you again. I can do it now, was really no big deal. It was the first time for me to manually modify a KSP file. A powerfull tool indeed, something that should come in handy in the future. Thanks again for teaching me the way. Daf -
Thank you. I can do it now, learned over the weekend how to modify the settings.cfg. Very handy thing to do indeed. Thank you very much for your help, I appreciate it a lot.

Nice little craft. DL link gave me an emtpy one though

Will do! Sounds doable. I know where to find the file... Oh, the possibilities! Thanks for teaching me how to fish
