  1. Just as I thought. Terribly mismanaged and underfunded by the people on the top with money to spare.
  2. He left the project a year before the IP was acquired by T2. He had no word on what happened to the game for 5 years after his departure. He wasn't there when the game was becoming more and more complex with everything between 1.2 included and 1.12, two expansions, console edition etc. So saying that he with his tiny team could handle the behemoth of KSP2 is wishful thinking at best.
  3. Search→member search→don't type anything, just make sure all user groups are marked, should be by default→hit search→sort the results by what you want For future reference Edit: the list seems to be about 3k short of what the stats tab says on the bottom of the forum. But eh it's probably good enough ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  4. That's a low tier pc from around 2015 by the looks of it. Expecting a game newer by 8 years to run on it is wishful thinking at best.

  6. What they will do to the franchise in the unlikely case of KSP2 falling off the bike? Nothing, lol, as long as it produces money. And I bet KSP1 will for years to come.
  7. Uhh. This section of the report lists only current and future FY releases (read as: anything later than April 1st). Since KSP2 officially launched in FY2024, it's not listed here.
  8. What do you mean separate document? All of them are an integral part of today's financial report.
  9. There are like 4 different presentations in there, it's in one of them.
  10. We know for sure some people will be leaving the project - at the very least what, 4 people so far? We know nothing about the rest. So once again, a reduction is imminent. Studio closure happens. Production continues. What we don't know, is under what label and with what workforce. Everything beyond the above is speculation.
  11. You weren't looking hard enough. There is mention of KSP, in fact it's still listed - compared to february report - as key product in PD label. The only thing that has changed in fact, is a single paragraph that is missing from today's report. So sign of cancellation or anything else. By the looks of it, it's still very much alive.
  12. Despite the layoffs of unknown size, and overall panic, there are no signs of work stoppage. Work slowdown, yes, halt, no.
  13. I think that was (is?) the biggest problem in this whole endaevour. KSP1 was an indie game in pretty much every way. Independent studio, small team, niche genre, not much of a budget, a novelty on the market, but loved by those who were interested. Then T2 took over the IP, came up with an idea for a sequel that would make money, and... still treated it like an indie title. Despite the fact that the scope proposed by our very Creative Director could beat some blockbuster AAA games. But it still got a small team, *some* budget and a short time to develop all those ideas. In any case, we will probably know what happens next in 22 hours or so.
  14. It really doesn't. For the 1528th time, no mod was able to bump up the heightmap resolution and that's where KSP1 will always lose.
  15. Why all of a sudden people started implying that ST and IG around 2020/21 were different people? Reportedly, the whole shadyness of that move was that people got a message from the overseers at T2, you move to new studio or we're terminating the contract. A a chunk of people did move because, wow, work is better than no work. Just check the old feature videos, most of the faces present there remained the same for a long time since 2019. Of course that was only a handful of people but I bet lead devs who remained wouldn't want to get their work thrown away.
  16. Not a Mother's day until 26th.
  17. An issue with the turbopump? Leak in the tank? We can troubleshoot what caused it.
  18. fast forward to financial report and announcement of record profits. Please, publishers are greedy pricks. Many of the most successful titles I play(ed) were developed and released without a publisher. Would KSP2 exist without a publisher? Probably not. But would it work better if the publisher assigned bigger budget from day one instead of giving more and more time? I think so.
  19. Steamdb shows updates to development branches as usual. So somebody is still doing something, they didn't all go home. Unless that work continues already straight under PD, whatever they came up with.
  20. Yes. Somehow some people failed to notice that in the midst of shouting and screaming.
