  1. Oops, I should have spotted that. It's a motherboard for AMD CPUs, so it won't be compatible with Intel
  2. Looks like a decent built to me, but I'm no expert. One point: a 1kw PSU for that price tag looks a bit sketchy to me.

  4. That song was on the first CD I ever bought!
  5. I agree that money could be used as an abstract substitute for different kinds of resources. However, I think the added complexity of having to deal with them will give the game even more replay value, at least for me. In principle, I also agree that having both, money and resources, would be a good fit. That said, as soon as we get into the colonization aspect, I see many situations, where money would seem out of place. Let's say you established a settlement on a new planet. It has a population of a few Kerbals or is even totally automated. If you want it to grow (and don't want to fly in new parts from Kerbin), the idea of Bob paying Bill to manufacture new parts collides with how I see Kerbals: Intrepid explorers, not greedy capitalists. But that's just my headcanon. Emphasis added That could happen with resources, too. Nobody said that managing a space program is easy .
  6. Battery swap, and for free? Neat! Over here, we're definitely not there, yet. Electric companies sometimes even fight the installation of chargers in the garage. What has me puzzled: Your dad went on their website and the day after, they called. Did he leave his number?
  7. Something like this? https://theskylive.com/3dsolarsystem
  8. There's no other option at the moment. Euclid for example will be launched in July on a Falcon 9.
  9. I'd say up but I think it boils down to a question: How often does anybody in the household get hurt if you place the pointy ends up? If it's more than three or four times per year, then place them down. No amount of "be careful" and "pay attention to what you're doing" will change that. Alternative solution: The person who gets to decide which way the silverware is placed in the dishwasher is also the one who has to put it back in the drawer.
  10. I'm excited for my first Elcano challenge!
  11. There was a big article about the Thwaites Glacier in the local press last week. It's very well written, but it's behind a paywall and not in English, anyway. I was looking for more sources and found a related article in Nature. It's not encouraging
  12. Because they didn't have [insert your name here]'s parents.
  13. Have you tried Avira? It's pretty lightweight, however the free version doesn't include web protection.
  14. fixed that for you Edit: I'm a few degrees north, so maybe we get lucky. It's overcast though. Thanks for the heads-up @JoeSchmuckatelli!
  15. Gene became a bionic man. He expects the Cybermen to appear before dark. The Doctor thought that massive jello shots might counter the lack of superior thrusters on brooms. The mission would gradually devolve into something revolutionary to Kerbal cranes and rainbows. How extraordinary that is, considering the effort required to make big ol'
  16. I was about to comment in the "Kerbalisms" thread that you should post that as a suggestion. Glad to see that you already did!
  17. Not an issue here: the buses are electric. https://www.bernmobil.ch/file/Unternehmen/Portrait/Fahrzeugpark/SwissTrolley5-DGTB.PDF
  18. Can't be that. The SpaceX thread for has been locked several times (here for example) but I can see the newer posts just fine.
  19. In my screenshot, do you see the line under Ted's post? The one that says that the thread is closed? I don't see Matuchkin's post, nor any other. Maybe you live in some kind of parallel universe? I don't see any other way to explain this...
