totm june 2018 Work-in-Progress [WIP] Design Thread

Yes yes, I was shooting for the stars, but these are intriguing new developments. I'll just be happy messing with some piston powered craft etc. Very cool! -

OK, so after building enough transistors and laying out a large CPU, GPU and chipset, the next big challenge will be to get KSP running on the PC built inside KSP! Awesome! Guitar shredding mini game inside KSP? -

Incredible! I can't wait to see you build an afterburner powered turbine housing to TURBO it! -

I launched a ~700 part station to stress test 1.1. I now have an Ion station with several different Ion powered speeders in Minmus orbit for testing. It looks somewhat like a used speeder dealership -

I tweaked an existing SSTO design and added a nuke, ore drilling/refining, and room for an extra kerbal. It makes it to minmus for refueling, but that took 3 years, 355 days! I may try to squeeze in a single large drill instead of 3 small ones to see if it reduces refueling time. -
How many parts is this beast? I like the pool!

I've been fooling around in 1.1 for a few days, came up with an SSTO with an Ion transport that fits in a 2.5M service bay. Wheels are a bit wierd, but loving 1.1 so far! -

Looking more like an XJ-6 now. The lighting isn't really working to color it, and it's a bit slow, but it handles pretty good! -

A few new prototypes, with a starting point for an XJ-6 Speeder and a 5 man transport -
Arrow. Single Stage to Anywhere!

@SingABrightSongMake sure you control from the front docking port before takeoff, nice smooth pull up to 45° at the end of the runway or it'll break up! -

This one has the same outline as my other BZT Speeder, I like making open top speeders, but it's hard to make one look like the yellow XJ-6 in KSP. Watch out for falling Jedi! -

I'm working on a BZT RocketSpeeder that can land and reorbit at Duna, successful test flight! https://kerbalx.com/PointySideUp/BZT-RocketSpeeder -
Today I finished the last leg of an epic test flight that has lasted from Kerbin to Tylo. Completed the Bop to Tylo run with 400 m/s to spare in an awesome prototype SSTT built by @Rune! It only took over a dozen landing attempts to pull it off.. Tylo is a tough nut to crack, a tough bone to chew, and basically a huge pain to land on! Thanks to Rune for the guidance and help plotting efficient nodes!

New SSTO made orbit on the first test flight, not really enough dV to do much except come home though -

Building (and test flights) with the SKAT is an arduous but rewarding process. It is capable of immense power, but also some instability. This one flies pretty good now!
