  1. Cool people don't ask to be cool. They already are! jkjk You seem cool but I am not AdmiralFluffy. @AtomicTech next?
  2. Thanks for the reply! It's sometimes hard to know what mods work with others or interact with in what way
  3. Banned for using 'can' in a reasoned ban! Jesus I haven't been logged on the forums for practically 3 years. It's fun to come back
  4. Admiral Fluffy: adsii1970 Me, who hasn't been logged on the forums in almost 3 years: "I'm about to end this man's whole career." Hahaha XD Since we are trying to summon this person though. @adsii1970 Will you be our lucky next participant?
  5. Does this mod work with Principia since that mod changes basically everything related to orbits?
  6. (Explosion in the distance destroying the diverter)
  7. Floor 4997 is a dimly lit room with a console showing a city on the screen above and a moderately sized red button in the centre of said console.
  8. 5/10 Seen you in a few places here.
  9. Banned for announcing the amount required for that colony.
  10. I decided to do some more artwork: These two I decided to see if I could do atmospheric styles and I'm actually quite proud of these two. This was my attempt at trying to make a realistic looking... Pan. I don't think I did badly but you can decide on that. This one is my latest. This one pretty much got me thinking to start looking up Digital Painting and techniques. I plan on getting a Wacom Tablet and will move from GIMP to Photoshop CC. I like the clouds and the sunset portion of it as well as certain aspects of the shading (Shadows) but I am not so fond of the flatness and 'child-like' feel of the artwork. That's what mainly got me to start looking up proper Digital Artwork stuff.
  11. To change speed, simply use the mouse scroll wheel. you can go from 0.10 cm per second to 327 Million light years per second and also press w,a,s or d for forward, left, backward, right movement.
  12. 0.990 Really will have decent graphics but I think its more Decent graphics of it's type. It's not a game, it's an engine or more broadly, a simulation.
  13. I know spaceships do but that isn't the main part of the program. I was more talking about astronomical objects like stars and planets not having N-body.
  14. I guess I'll show off my own artwork: This was my first piece I made and I liked it so much, I decided to just trial and error with ways to make something look like a planet. The fact this that even if it looks like it, I used no external textures for any of these. Here's some more of my artwork: This one has a place in my heart for just being... an inspiration even though I made it. This one was special because I deliberately used bump map to make the cracks actually look somewhat like cracks. This one was the pinnacle of my first batch of artwork type. Four moons with different texturing (and still kept procedural within the confines of GIMP). This isn't my favourite. It was more of a testbed and at this point I started to not like the look of some aspects of my artwork so I decided to change things a bit. This one was the last one in my first artwork type that I made. I liked it because of it's realisitic feeling to it (Bar the slightly off shadow). This one was the first of my new artwork type. I worked on the shadows and atmospheres plus certain aspects of bump mapping and texturing for enhancement and this is still another favourite of mine I actually tried out two different atmospheric looks to see which one I liked better (I choose the ice moon). The favourite part about this one is the gas jets coming from the moon. At one point, I started to try to make detailed stars which I thought I did quite well. I did use them in some of my artwork like... ...This one which was more of a test as to see if I could make non-planetary things. This one is by FAR my most favourite artwork of all time. It is just different from what I usually do and yet it turned out quite good. I haven't done any artwork for a while but I feel like getting back into it.
  15. Damn these are beautiful! I do similar art and I self-taught myself using GIMP but these... these are inspirational! Very Impressive!
  16. Space Engine doesn't currently have n-body simulation yet. It will be worked on in the future but for now, all planets are generated on rails using various formulas to make it as realistic as possible. Other than that, it is one of the best space simulation programs I have ever come across. The fact that one person, Vlad aka the Space Engineer, has done this pretty much by himself bar a few contributions over 17 years in his free time is absolutely amazing and he relies almost solely on donations (Overview was a major success and won an award pretty much apoun release so now he is getting revenue from that too). He also doesn't announce a release date so people don't pound him if he said a date and it doesn't come out on that date. He just says it will be done when it's done. The 0.990 update looks absolutely gorgeous! The fact is that it will be a massive overhaul. It rewrites a ton of code to make the game better while still using virtually the same amount of RAM, GPU and CPU power, Dynamic HDR is being introduced, Planets now have a massive overhaul of classification so now they are more specific, Individual Material Density is now taken into account to calculate the size of planets more accurately, The game also simulates the lifecycle of a planet before it is generated so the sample of planets in SE compared to the real world will be more accurate (Like for instance, world forms with water but a bit too close to the sun, it evaporates enough to trigger a runaway greenhouse and becomes a venus-like planet.), I know there are texture artifact bug fixes so now asteroids won't have seems. Same with some moons and planets. And finally, the New Nebulas. These are amazing! It will really add to the program and I know there is even animated supernova renaments meaning the nebula actually expands and dissipates over time. The procedural nature of it along with the almost limitless colour pallete will really add diversity to the SE universe! Cannot wait to use 0.990 when it comes out (Which seems like it will be soon as one of Space Engineer's recent announcements said that he is working on preparations for release so yay!) I've also used Space Engine for my own personal endevours. I've used it to visualise my solar system for my worldbuilding universe by creating planets, stars, nebula and galaxies and it is fairly easy to do and really fun to see the outcome. Overall, I love space engine! I'd wish some companies like NASA, ESA or other educational-based companies would take an interest in it but oh well, it looks like it is doing very well on its own and I am sure it will for the coming future too.
  17. I wish I found this mod earlier! This is like finding a 99.99% Pure 1 kg antimatter nugget in an earth-sized planet at the core... It's just... amazing. I'll be watching it closely for it to update to 1.4.1 so I can immediately add it to my playthrough.
  18. In our universe, gravitons do not exist as gravity is not a force but rather a property of the geometry of spacetime.
  19. As much as I don't want to because of the age of this thread, I also don't wanna see a mod like this go away especially since it sounds like the project took a bit to create. The last comment on this was 10 months ago so I'm going to assume you @The White Guardian haven't had time to work and release something like this. Understandly, asking someone when a release date on the ksp forums is frowned apoun so I'm going to ask a different question. Will this mod be continued to work on or is it an abandoned project?
  20. No it is not. A few of the Science Definitions have to be updated. I know @KillAshley has said that they are being worked on as well as Derso for the next update. @KillAshley, Is Ernus being worked on as well?
  21. Haven't used this planet mod. I may use it just to look at the hard work that has gone into it.
  22. You like Space, Star Wars, Gravity Falls and KSP but not Rick and Morty?!?

    Who are you?!?! XD

  23. Now I want to get back into Planet Hunting! I did some planet hunting on Zooniverse a few times before but i didn't really know what to expect from the data. Like I would analyse the light curve but would i get anything out of it or was it just finding planets easier.
