I'm pretty sure this is the last one but I'm not sure. -
Best Engine For A Reusable Lander

That should be possible. I'd recommend the nuclear engine or the terrier if you haven't unlocked the nuclear engine yet. -

At the very beginning of the flight, if you have a twr of 1.2, 5/6 of the delta-v expended is going towards countering gravity. This quickly changes once the gravity turn is started. Increasing takeoff twr does help. -
Considering that even orbiting Kerbin in 10x gravity is barely possible, Eve and back would likely take a computer more powerful than any existing today. Video of the 10g Kerbin ascent:

The James Webb Space Telescope and stuff

Why switch? Ariane 5 is perfectly capable of launching jwst, costs less than SLS, and has an excellent reliability record, something SLS will not be able to prove it has for a while. Plus, it frees up an SLS for a mission that needs it. If it gets delayed for longer than Ariane 5 will be around, I'd imagine you would have several other capable vehicles to choose from by that point (although probably not too proven). Ariane 6, NG, and Vulcan should be around and flying by 2022-3. I don't think fh has a big enough fairing.- 869 replies

Thank you! There's enough room for the materials bay, a goo, and whatever mini science experiments I have unlocked. If I install KAS to bring new experiments, the only science I can't really get from the lander is a crew report. Assuming I bring a scientist, I can reset them and do multiple biomes, but due to fuel margin this would really only be useful for Minmus.

Either I'm just out of the loop, or this certainly came out of nowhere!

I'd imagine that delays will get less common towards the end of development. A delay to 2026 at this point would mean a 3.5x schedule slip (2 -> 7 years).- 869 replies

With the current schedule there will not be another SLS ready to launch JWST until after 2024 if Artemis stays on schedule.- 869 replies

A bunch of people playing through the game with the same rules and mostly the same realism mods to see who can make it to the moon first. In this case it's really a race for second, though, judging by how some of our programs are going!
-
I will agree that it is getting borderline. At its core it's a bunch of paralell mission reports but then someone suggested agency bios and it went a bit further into RP than I would have liked. Season 1 was similar and we had no issues with it.

Notebook Space Program - 1959 People in space and slightly bigger rockets! But mostly failure.

Hello, @PulsarPixie! Was there a specific inspiration for your username? It's a cool one.
-
Nah, one MCU reference is enough. I have two other names in mind and I'll probably only need four shuttles, if that.
-
That is one of the four planned names, yes.

Notebook Space Program: Days 115-124 A station and a top secret project... Also I installed restock

Ah, so they are going poodle with Raptor. Edit: unless dual bell means that kinked nozzle and not two bells. -
Whoa! This is exciting! So either it soft landed but is at an angle where it is difficult or impossible to communicate, or it landed hard enough to break a vital system. What do you think the odds are for reestablishing communications?

Technically we haven't had a Soyuz 1 launch vehicle. We've had Soyuz and Soyuz 2, but not Soyuz 1. -
Pretty far into the 60's.
-
I can quantify how far ahead of me you are and it's about a decade.
-
Tech has finally caught up with what I want to do, but what I want to do is soon to outgrow current tech, so the rockets are going to get a bit more abominable I'm afraid!
-
Engine hop. The contract doesn't specify how you move, just that you have to move.

Notebook Space Program: Days 101-114 Busiest two weeks ever! Would be one week in real life because of the 12 hour days though.
