  1. Nice idea, Stoney! I like the Boeing PFD layout and associated features in general, but I may be biased. When I used to play on the PC, I loved Mechjeb. I get why the developers don't want to add an autopilot. I got away with ridiculously complex orbital construction projects without realistic risks. The SAS modes take care of a lot of the pilot workload, anyway. In in real life simplicity is a virtue. Valves stick, CPUs overheat, some pump is slightly less efficient than advertised at a specif temperature, etc. When I was abusing Mechjeb, I could dock thirty modules in LKO without really considering the risks of something going awry. Since Mechjeb already has the code for this sort of thing hashed out, what about using Mechjeb style parts to increase the display quality on the nav ball as you progress through the tech tree? This would be similar to how different probe cores have increasing SAS capabilities?
  2. There's already a little light by the analog vertical speed indicator. What about adding low voltage, low fuel, low monopropellant, battery discharge and other warning lights? Perhaps a Kerbal Annunciator Panel?
  3. Rather than pushing for an autopilot, what about having the blue maneuver cues displayed for launch and reentry? A player could configure the specifics of how they want to execute their gravity turn. The maneuver cues could guide the player in the execution of their gravity turn and you could even have "bugs" display desired v. actual acceleration on the accelerometer (g-meter) to the right and speed up/down cueing similar to but not identical to angle of attack (^oV display). The aerodynamic challenges of keeping the craft stable through aggressive maneuvers would still be present. The same could be set for precise reentry or even aerobraking. This would also allow players to see challengers posed by having to fly over-complex, maneuvers. So I guess the flight director would have to be tied to much more intricate launch/reentry/aerobraking maneuver planner. Perhaps this could be incorporated into the tech tree or a VAB/SPH upgrade? In real life, airplane flight director cues are magenta. Since we already have blue maneuver cues and magenta target indicators on the navball, I'd keep the same symbology and colors that players are used to. Is this feasible for stock?
  4. Hi Sal, I've had some exercise, breakfast and coffee and am much less cranky now. After I posted this, I re-read that 1.2 is on its way out along with console patches. In all honesty, I can't really ask for a refund on a game that has me talking about Oberth effect, bringing out my graphing calculator in the wee hours of the morning, etc. I hope we see the console versions of the game improved to the same level of quality as the PC versions.
  5. I was using this workaround, but have consistently been encountering loss of saves. I deleted all but two of my crafts and have cleared out my saves. There's no persistent debris option, like the PC, that I could find, but I manually clear my debris. Anyway, I played for a couple hours, lost all my progress. I tried again, lost all my progress again. This workaround did get me a couple more tech. levels down the career, but I'm effectively stuck at this point. Like Harrysaxon says, this seems silly when there's a lot of free memory available on my console.
  6. Hello, I am writing to complain about frequent loss of progress and loss of entire missions on the Xbox One. I have deleted craft files down to just two vehicles, avoided saves, deleted debris, etc.. The game still crashes or, even with no crash, I lose several hours of my progress. Having deleted craft files, deleted saves and otherwise done more than a customer's normal amount of work to get a product to function, I think it is safe to say I have been sold an unfinished game. I waited for and purchased a "finished" game from the Xbox Store. Please give me my money back. I am a big KSP fan and will gladly re-purchase your game when you have a finished product to sell.
