[KSP 1.6.1] Stock Visual Enhancements [v1.4.1] [20 March 2019]
Red Stapler replied to Galileo's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
I had that problem for a week or so several months ago but then it magically went away so there is hope for you. I do recall messing around with Scatterer in order to get rid of some 'bad' shadows I did not like around the KSC, but I can't imagine how that would have solved my terrain issue that looks very similar to yours. I did not have SVT installed at the time either fyi. Good luck! -
Our intrepid Kerbal Skunkworks™ engineers finally amassed the required 10k science last night to build their 1st ever Alcubierre Warp Drive/Faster Than Light beacon combo ship. There was much rejoicing as the ‘Exotic Badger’ reached Duna and began seeding the system with FTL beacons… Off to Jool once we do a wee bit of a recharge... Kerbal Skunkworks...“We bring the universe (and freeze dried pizza) to you!”

First I would make sure my glasses are clean. Next I would go outside and say hello and make sure they are real. Following that, I would check my log for any instances of "NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object" If they are clean, they can stay...if they are spamming my log they get booted to my neighbors yard.

[KSP 1.6.1] Stock Visual Enhancements [v1.4.1] [20 March 2019]
Red Stapler replied to Galileo's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
I'm sorry to hear that...I made those exact changes and it worked for me (old sunflare & settings now work in SVE 1.2.2). Make sure you saved your edits...I can' tell you how many times I've edited a file and forgot to save/close before I re-started the game. I wish I had more info for you...good luck!! -
As has been said, 'Part Action Window' is the correct answer. I also like 'Parachutes Are Working'!

[KSP 1.6.1] Stock Visual Enhancements [v1.4.1] [20 March 2019]
Red Stapler replied to Galileo's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Here are the old sun flare/spike settings from the 'Sun.cfg' file found in SVE 1.6.1... flareSettings = 0.6,1,1 spikesSettings = 0.6,1,1 Copy those into the new 'SVE_Settings.cfg' file in your current SVE version (towards end of the config file where you see the following): @Scatterer_sunflare:AFTER[scatterer] { @Sun { %assetPath = StockVisualEnhancements/SVE_Scatterer/Sunflares/Sun %flareSettings = 0.7,1,0.35 %spikesSettings = 0.7,1,0.35 ...and you should get the old sun settings back. The two texture files for the sun are: sunFlare.png sunSpikes.png ....which I think you already copied over from your old SVE version. I hope this helps and my instructions are accurate. @Galileo please correct if I am wrong on above, just trying to be a useful Jeb. -
My ship (which I aptly re-named) 'Alice' in Moholand. What is this, a rabbit hole? Down, down, down... ---------------------------------- Sunset launches ala Scatterer are the best... SVE aurora plus a Texture Replacer skybox...oh so perty...

Looks massive and awesome @traner! How much flight time before the fuel runs out? Good job!
-
Cool! Plus Kopernicus for the Jool rings or are those from another visual mod? Tnx.

The strange case of KSP burn out
Red Stapler replied to Rosco P. Coltrane's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Whenever I start to feel the pangs of burnout, I either go out and find some new mods to try out/mess around with or I go and see what I can do to improve performance on the visual type mods I currently have installed (namely, SVE/EVE/Scatterer/Texture Replacer, etc.) via changing settings, configs or using different texture files. Or I'll go around and mess with Sound Track Editor/find new tracks to add to KSP buildings/scenes). Also, my evenings rarely go as planned....sometimes I come in with the goal of playing for a few hours but end up tweaking a mod to get it 'just right' instead. Other times I plan to work on editing mods but end up playing instead. I get easily distracted! But all in all, I keep coming back to the KSP well. Few games keep me interested (and uninterested) over and over again....it really comes down to all you awesome modders out there that keep this fresh and interesting over the years. I also check the forums everyday to see what is 'new'...that usually dictates my plans for later in the eve. It's rare that I will play a game over a year (or years). Just a few games have that distinction...Borderlands I & II, some of the Civilization games, Oblivion (modded the crap out of that one) and Heroes of Might and Magic II (or was it III?). There are a few more but those should suffice for now....Jeb needs to land on Moho and he is complaining the capsule is running a bit hot lol. -
Also, @MOARdV...2 questions related to above (show names on mouse hover).... 1. Is it possible to make the mouse hover font larger? I could not find anything to edit in the settings file (or info on if it is even possible via a search). 2. Is there any way to make the planet/moon names 'stick' or display permanently on the screen rather than just during a mouse hover? If not, maybe these can be considered for a future release if they are deemed 'worthy'? Regardless, thank you for an awesome mod!!!!

[1.6.1] Soundtrack Editor 4.6 (2019-01-28)
Red Stapler replied to pizzaoverhead's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
That would be a cool feature +1. I'm not sure how much more work pizzaoverhead is putting into this mod though...you might want to reach out to him. Cheers.- 779 replies

[KSP 1.6.1] Stock Visual Enhancements [v1.4.1] [20 March 2019]
Red Stapler replied to Galileo's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Sad that you may need to deal with that yourself. You modders do enough as it is. I do all my installs manually and usually have no probs (I actually read the OP directions haha). Anyhow, more like KCANT. Sorry, I'll stop now. -
[1.6.1] Soundtrack Editor 4.6 (2019-01-28)
Red Stapler replied to pizzaoverhead's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Ok, here is my playlist... Tracks that start with a 'v' were added to 'Construction' playlist Tracks that start with a 'z' were added to the 'Space' playlist Tracks that start with an 'x' were added to the 2 'Menu' playlist or other buildings at the KSC. I don't think I used the Sunday Dub track. A couple of favs... 'Cool Kats' is great in the Astronaut Complex....it has a cool early 1960s vibe. 'Hall of the Mountain King' cracks me up everytime it plays in the VAB. The 'Ossuary' tracks make great space soundscape music I put 'Marty Gots a Plan' in both the Construction playlist and in the Mission Control one...it's so very Kerbal and one can never have enough Marty. There are a few Space tracks I may change out but I am uber happy for now with all the new ambiance these tracks have created. Jeb even breaks out his electric kuitar from time to time...although it is a bit of a challenge to rock out with only 4 fingers.- 779 replies

[1.6.1] Soundtrack Editor 4.6 (2019-01-28)
Red Stapler replied to pizzaoverhead's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
So...I finally had time last night to go through a good chunk of the royalty free music provided by Kevin MacLeod (here be music) and there are some great tracks in there! Just go into 'Full Search' and then filter for the music types you are looking for. I found a lot of good stuff under 'dark', 'mysterious' and/or 'somber' in the 'feels' filter and listened to tracks that are 3 mins or longer. I ended up dnlding about 15 tracks for Space, around 10 for the VAB/SPH (Construction) and another 5 or so unique/fun tracks for the other buildings & menus. Man did it spice up my game....I'm so stoked on the new music! I'll post my music lists later tonight when I get home after work in case anyone is interested. Jeb says rock on!- 779 replies

Kerbal Space Program suddenly became personal
Red Stapler replied to AlamoVampire's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Man, now you guys have me missing my Netherland Dwarf rabbit....Oreo. He was such a ball of energy as well as a trouble maker. I was impressed at how smart he was (never had a rabbit as a pet before). I'm going to have Mr. Jebs plant a flag on the Mun for him tonight. -

Thanks for Sharing....KSP is awesome, not many games can connect on an emotional level like this one when you 'accomplish' something really cool (be it mission based or otherwise). -
Nyan Cat in the loading screen? Am i tripping?
Red Stapler replied to milosv123344's topic in KSP1 Discussion
He is April Cat fool. And I say 'fool' kindly. -
Duna set just before Ike landing #4. The Neutrino still has 19k Dv left out of 24k total Dv. Lovin it and good night...
-
LOL, what is that thing? What does it do? And who is the man in the window? Please to explain.
-
Duna slingshot and a relay network to set up... Science ship, Duna dark side and a wee bit of TweakScale to glue it all together...just another great eve playing KSP.

Try not to laff, I've recently had the itch to revisit and revamp several old tiltes... The Magic Candle Master of Orion II (with user created patches for AI and other improvements) Sid's Alpha Centauri (I totally re-created the tech tree...it's like a new game) Also some 'newer' stuff... Terraria (my sons fav game at the moment) Diablo III Ultimate Evil Ed Borderlands 1 & 2 (best RNG engine ever...it's like going to Vegas but you don't loose any real money).
