  1. What I do is create a very simple craft - any object with the new RCS part fitted. Open that craft file in a text editor and then copy the name of the new part.
  2. They all changed names to Octans so you need to edit the craft files in a text editor to the new part names. Off the top of my head it'd be called something like Octans MOE 3E RCS now. Simple search and replace should fix up the craft file.
  3. @Beale Did you settle on a build for Polyus that you would like reflected on the wiki? I updated the image and build guide recently to the FGB without the docking ports on it.
  4. You might get better luck with Nertea's other parts to make a KH-11 facsmile - here's something I knocked up using ScanSat and Near Future parts to launch on the BDB Delta IV (I'm in career mode and haven't unlocked the round probes cores yet but you get the idea..) BDB Screenshot tax:

Following up from flart's post above (Feb 12th) ref the DMagic Micro Goo Containment Pod, this issue appears to extend to any mod experiment that is animated (and many of them have multiple samples too). I'm experiencing a similar issue with the likes of BDB and Universal Storage experiments. To repro, use the Here & Now buttons to run an animated experiment. The results window pops up and you can select transmit (or store) but no science is actually transmitted/stored. The experiment device itself is rendered inoperable: further manual attempts to run the experiment results in "no more samples can be collected," and it cannot be reset manually nor by a Scientist. Example pictured below - I ran the goo experiment on top manually as a check, but using the H&N buttons to run the BDB Codac camera "Take Photographs" experiment reproduced the issue. Logs
  8. Snacks adds resources to all crewed parts with ModuleCommand by default. The only customisation you need is to add resource converters to taste, hence those configs for Mir parts to simulate the station-wide life support. I didn't add anything to the smaller station parts (Almaz etc) since I figured those wouldn't have proper life support systems. Snacks has fun things like Oxygen candles already, which seem more appropriate for the early era orbitals.

  11. I checked every craft file that on my wiki github with the latest release version of Tantares. What's outdated about them?

  13. Do I need to change anything in the wiki, such as part names? I've updated Energia already. I'll remove the old/duplicate craft files from my github wiki to avoid any confusion.
  14. Atlas I "balloon" tanks can't have things attached to the surface, which simulates the real things which were remarkably fragile stainless steel covered in WD-40. The unfortunate side effect is you can't attach conformal decals to them either. You can workaround by attaching it to another part and nudging the decal into place.

  17. https://github.com/friznit/Unofficial-BDB-Wiki/wiki/Payload-Performance Obviously the numbers will be completely different for a launch to GTO but it should give you a rough idea of what could sit in between Redstone and Atlas, historical timelines permitting of course, if that's also a deciding factor for you. I've used MJ PVG a fair amount but I find it tends to work better on higher altitude launches - 200x200 at a minimum. Below that and it tends to overshoot and burn back 'down', or burn up if the trajectory is flatter - I guess that's the whole point of not being able to throttle! I don't use Real Fuels or Engine Ignitor but I've found that even flying manually now I tend to do single burns to orbit with no throttling (in JNSQ planet pack). I guess I'm subconsciously mimicking MJ, but they're efficient enough launches so that suits me!
  18. Yes absolutely - I already chatted with EStreetRockets about it. I'm waiting until the mod's a little more mature before getting stuck in though, to avoid too much rework!
