  1. It all depends on the weather conditions in Tahiti, as long as the weather is good, why come back?
  2. Simply because they're a bunch of jerks and there's no one in charge! They apply to the entire calculation of gravity (with parameters that vary according to the celestial object) but did not realize that at the same time it causes displacement of the objects that are resting on the surface of the celestial body. Instead of cancelling it for that case, they want to cancel it with an inordinate increase in the values of the friction algorithm. The result is the same as what we saw in the KSP and they never noticed anything. To put it simply, the planet keeps spinning and that's why it seems that your rocket is moving, what moves is the planet and it doesn't "drag" whatever it has resting on its surface. A no-brainer for any self-respecting engineer or developer, but hey.... It was cooler to spend time for the kerbal to behave like an ape in the little window at the bottom right corner of the screen.
  3. They failed the day they missed the first promised date to deliver the product in an advanced stage of development, they went over budget, they discovered that they did not have suitable developers, they had to go looking for people from the previous project and they fell down a slide by the hand of horrors committed by the management that did not know how to manage. The proof was that they let the spaghetti rocket issue come out on the market simply because no one was watching anyone's work. Quality Control? What is that? It was the same with the Colonies theme, maybe it looked nice in Blender or whatever they used, but it was quite another to turn it into Unity code and make it work. They were unable to codify a formula in a timely manner. They came up with something to recoup some of the expenses, but the operation was doomed because with those people it could take decades to achieve something more, if they could, at an immense cost, several times greater than Boeing's Orion project. On paper and with Powerpoint it was very nice for those who didn't know how to develop, but once someone sat down to code they realized that it was superior to their knowledge. If they don't say anything, it's to avoid acknowledging that they broke their teeth and must return the money. Most likely, they will package it into some BB- "tranche" and sell it fast at cost to get rid of it before it stinks like rotten fish. And if you're wondering who stood up, your current situation is simple: Did anyone see "Margin Call"? It's not a gionist's invention, it just happens in real life in every company. Well, they have them sitting in an office, looking out the window and waiting for the Company to recover the money somehow, so they can receive the compensation and try to reorder their future life in whatever profession it is. Maybe they'll get lucky and some studio will hire them to sell another damaged video game. Sounds very sci-fi? I know someone who was paid a year's salary to sit behind a desk every day playing "Solitaire" (yep, more than two decades ago) until the company could sell the product. It's just that the Guy knew too much. There's always some unwary or unbeliever, isn't there?
  4. How do you recoup millions of dollars of investment when you have already captured (and very badly) part of the return? Unless they take the operation to another city where there are more serious developers and people with proven knowledge. It has sounded ridiculous to me that during the pandemic they have had more than a month of connectivity problems to work at home. Imagine Wall Street with those people!
  5. It allows for doubt. If they had really been in charge, they wouldn't have made it to these instances. Unless they're the kind of people Bernard Madoff captured.
  6. The problem is who is in charge of the project. That's why politicians hire specialists.
  7. Excellent financial analysis! But it remains to be known the composition of the team that was initially hired: -How many engineers in charge? -Did they have mathematicians and physicists on staff? -Who gave the scientific support and the guidelines to be carried out? Much to my chagrin, I remember well that in 2020 priority was given to music (?) and engine flashes (?) Not to mention the continuous promotional videos made with a software that had nothing to do with KSP2. And before anyone starts barking, I want to know that as a programmer (nowadays it is called a developer) I have worked to make commercial applications even with an Economist and a Stock Trader. I'm just a programmer.
  8. One million potential buyers in the U.S. market alone
  9. The reactions of the community are interesting. It's like an earthquake, as the days go by the hopes of finding people alive diminish and mourning begins.
  10. All good, it's your right. But... How long are you going to expect them to deign to explain something to you? A month? One year? a decade? a century? And if you expect someone to talk, it's because you don't understand the corporate fabric. Anyone who breaks the line is not going to be hired even in the competition. Marked for life.
  11. Be realistic. Who is going to wait 25 or 30 years to see dividends when the great mass of video game consumers have an active life of around 10 years maximum? Don't you plan to have a busy and productive life in the future? Wife? Children? Grandsons? Or are you going to spend the rest of your life buying simulators and hiding in the attic of your house? It's the same calculation made by the economists they hire in the Corporations.
  12. -"The price is theft" -"They promised and never delivered" -"They hurt the youtubers who believed in them" -"They never improved anything" -"They're going to provide maintenance, only Early Access and Science"
  13. Did the visible head of development, the person in charge of the project and the management of the staff, find out about it only on Labor Day? Oh, boy........ [Snip]
  14. I can only imagine the pain he must have felt knowing that he was being relocated with a promotion, while the rest would have to look for new airs. When would that have been? After Space Creator Day or before?
  15. It must have been terrible to be rearranged within the company while the rest had to gather their belongings in a cardboard box. He must be desolate in his new position. Because he's not one who has to be looking for work, right? And I should have known in advance what would happen, right? Sometimes I doubt if these posts are sincere or deliberate.
  16. YESSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Another reason why I was suspended in 2021 is that I suspected that Nate was a used car salesman or one of those guys from the Wild West who sold medicinal elixirs.
  17. The only reality is that getting something cheaper than Seattle and that knows how to work is in Moscow, leaders in C++, and we know that's not going to happen.
  18. Boy, it's all an illusion. Start playing World of Tank or World of Warship.
  19. [Snip] The system that is available is used. Another little is in imagination and insight, like the one that allowed me to realize three years ago what the real goal of KSP2 was.
  20. [Snip] They get on any plane and they don't check if they have engines....
